It is such a blessing to be in a community where we can celebrate the many unique ways that God has created us! In 1 Corinthians 12:12 it says, “Just as a body, though one, has many parts, but all its many parts form one body, so it is with Christ.” Each one of us is part of the body of Christ and we want to honor that by celebrating the beautiful pieces of our puzzle. Over the next week, we invite you to join us in celebrating and bringing awareness to various disabilities by wearing certain items/colors to school.
Thursday, March 21 – Down Syndrome Awareness Day
WEAR CrAzY SoCkS! (Socks with fun designs, different colors, mismatched socks)
Monday, March 25 – Cerebral Palsy Awareness Day
WEAR GREEN!
Tuesday, March 26 – Autism Awareness Day (celebrated internationally on 4/2/24)
WEAR BLUE!
Wednesday, March 27 – Your Choice!
Wear a specific color, shirt, bracelet, etc. to bring awareness to something you or your family are passionate about related to a specific diagnosis or disability. We can use this as an opportunity to learn more about what makes us all unique!
