-1 John 4:10 -11-
This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.
I’ve always thought it was cool how the 8th graders could pick the theme verse every year. Every year the theme verses would always seem to fit in with what was happening that year. We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world.
This verse shows me that as an 8th grader we should always love. We should love people even if they don’t love us back. Sometimes it’s hard to love people that are maybe mean to you but in the bible it tells us to love your neighbor as you would love yourself. Both these verses tell us that we should love everyone even if it’s hard. At school we can show love by always being aware of the people around us. We can also show love
As Christians this verse tell us that we should love everyone around us even if it’s hard. When this verse tells us that we ought to love one another it’s not just telling us we should love the people around us but we should love the people of the world. There’s a lot of people in the world and God wants everyone to feel loved. A way that we can love people that we may not know, is going out and praying for people. God can give us incredible words and show us to people that need to be shown God’s love. God does everything for a reason he wants you to be in the right place at the right time that’s why we should be always listening to God and what He is telling us. I feel like this verse shows us how important it is to love one another and how it can change someone’s day by just saying something kind and loving.
We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world. In the world it is so important to love it’s one of the most important things. If we don’t love nothing really matters. Jesus tell us that we should always love and care for others even in difficult situations. Jesus is one of the biggest examples of love he chose to die on the cross to save us even if it meant a painful death.
