God at Work

In the bible we have learned about Paul and his ministry. 4 things about Paul are…

  1. He is a Pharisee.
  2. He has Roman and Jewish citizenship which is helpful.
  3. He knew many languages and was very smart.
  4. He was a missionary to the Gentiles

He helps me get through hard times. He answers my prayers to. I moved a lot when I was young and it was hard because you always have to make new friends in the neighborhood and when I grow up I don’t want to have to put anyone in my family through that.

Volcanos

This week we learned about volcanos. We had to learn and create our own volcanos. Me and my group created a composite volcano. I had a lot of fun with my group but we worked good together too. Our volcano explosion was elephant toothpaste. Elephant toothpaste flows out and looks like fluffy foam.

Christian Persecution~Kenya

This year we learned about Christian persecution and it happens all over the world. We studied Christian persecution in Kenya. One of the stories that happened there was a about 3 people that were killed for not saying the muslim prayer. They were killed by being hacked to death with machetes. Another story was about a guy became Christian in a very muslim area and his family tried to kill him by poisoning his tea. Someone that was looking at presentation told us that.

Spaghetti Tower

Our tower is very tall. It is leaning over to one side. It has a mass of 77 grams. The base has an x inside of a rectangle for more support. Hopefully it will work, but I don’t think it will hold the egg very well. My group was awesome though and I had a lot of fun.

Lost in Love

This is love; Not that we loved God, But that he loved us and sent his son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins. Dear friends, Since God so loved us, We also ought to love one another.

Lost in love is a good verse and I think we picked it because it reminds us how much God loves us. That he loves us so much that we can get lost in all the things he blesses us with. We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world.

I can show this theme many ways at school. One of them is I can give kids high fives, say high, or have a quick conversation with them. I always loved it if my older brother or a older kid then me gave me a high five or said hi. Another way is holding the door open for everyone even though you want to go talk to your friends. I noticed some kids who hold open the door for everyone a lot. When we play sports to not say anything bad to them during the game. Just have a good attitude towards them because we played a team that was always nice and would say your team is good and stuff. That game was the best.

As Christians, we can also show this theme to the world. By inviting some kids to go to my youth group that can’t find one or don’t know about it. A girl in my class invited me to go to her youth group and that made me feel good that she invited me. Another way is praying for people who are going through hard times. It always helps me if some talks to me or prays for me if i’m going through something tough. If we go on mission trips we can also show God’s love to all the people there.

We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world. This is a great verse for our school and world so we can practice God’s love to everyone!

Beginning of Year Reflections

One thing I have enjoyed this year was camp. I love going to camp and learning in a different way. I also love having free time there to hang out with my friends.

One thing I have learned in school this year are the 2 bible memory verses. 1 John 4:10-11 and  Matthew 5:1-4.

One thing I’m looking forward to this year is going to Timer Wolf! It sounds very fun!

Summer!

This summer I went to California! In California I went to San Fransisco. I got to see the Golden Gate Bridge. I also got to drive on a side of a mountain. It was a great view. I also went camping this year at the Conference Grounds. I went swimming, had a lot of ice cream, and played mini golf. I went to Wisconsin Dells too! I went on all of the water slides at the water park we went to. I had a lot of fun this summer!

Book Review

The Land of Stories

The Land of Stories is my favorite book series. It is written by Chris Colfer. It is a fantasy book that you won’t be able to put down. While reading it he describes where they are how it looks, smells, and hears. You almost see what they see when you close your eyes.

Alex and Conner are the main charters in this book along with lots of fairy tale charters. Alex is book smart loves reading always getting projects done. Conner is the exact opposite he jokes around and gets nothing done.

Alex and Conner live with their mom. Their dad died awhile back. They are sad when they think about them but that all changes when their grandma gives them a fairy tale book for their birthday. It would glow and make a small humming sound at times. Alex would drop pencils in it and they would disappear. Conner knew nothing about the book until one day, when it started humming in Alex’s backpack. Conner throws a book at his teacher to make a distraction, when the teacher tells Alex to open her bag. Alex runs to the bathroom and Conner makes the excuse his elbow hurts, after he got all his detention slips. Alex runs in the bathroom and  rips open her bag and pulls out the book. Conner comes in after her. Then a bird flys out of their book and their life changes forever.

Overall, I give this book 5 out of 5 stars. I loved this book and t was impossible for me to put down.
