Out of all the acts we have studied in our time looking at the road to Revolution, which do you consider to be the harshest and why?

I think that the Boston Massacre was the harshest act. I think one of the reasons for this is because during the massacre five colonists were killed. I also think it was the harshest because the British had guns and the colonists had nothing to defend themselves with. I think that the acts after the Boston Massacre were so harsh because of the massacre. I think this because after the massacre the colonists and the British had a big argument about the massacre and the British said their was a mistake about the shootings and that it was not fair that the colonists tried to defend themselves with snowballs and sticks. So mainly, I thought it wasn’t fair that the British were so harsh afterwards, because they didn’t think the way the colonists defended themselves was fair. I think the way the British reacted to the massacre was silly!

Books you should read!

Dear friends,

I think you should read the book “The Hiding Place.” It’s an intense book about a lady named Corrie who helped hide Jewish people in the Netherlands during the time of Hitler. I’m still reading it, so I’m not quite sure how it ends yet, but so far it’s great!

April 9- I just finished this book, It has a PHENOMENAL ending! A lot of people have been asking me where they can get it. My mom owns it, or I’m sure you would be able to find it at your local library- if not you can ask me if you would like to borrow it!

Why was the Declaration of Independence so Important to the colonists?

I think the Declaration of Independence was so important to the colonists because it gave them freedom and it helped them show Britain why they wanted freedom and it also gave the British reasons for why they wanted freedom. I also think the Declaration of Independence was so important to the colonists because it showed/reminded them that they had freedom
