What our ORIGINAl idea of the tower was to have a big base, which we do have. Our idea was to have a big base to have more stability and level the weight out. As well to support the base and make it a lot more reliable we made cross braces to make it more stable. Then after the base our idea was to have a cube on top. Our biggest and the idea we counted on the most was having the cross braces and doubling the spaghetti sticks up to make it stronger. What ended up happening was one of our corners failed on us and we had a lot of spaghetti sticks break, so after that we could not reach the 40cm hight to get the A grade. As well the main part where we were going to hold the egg was on top of the base cube, but that did not work because of the corner breaking.

What did we do:

Our idea for the boat was to have a fast boat with a sail, and have weight in the back, we have a big sail with straws on the side to reduce the friction when the boat is rubbing against the edges if the tube.

How the first trial went:

The first trial went pretty well and we got 3rd place and our boat was pretty fast

Changes you’ll make:

The changes I think we will make is maybe making it shorter and trying to reduce weight, besides that it looks pretty good.

How you hope you’ll do:

I hope we will get the same place or better, because our time was good as well as our 3rd place award.
