this is our volcano. It is a composite volcano with and explosive eruption. we have lava flow witch is the play dough. we have a magma chamber which you can see on the other side. the eruption is going to be with diet coke and mentos. the volcano is made from cardboard. all the dots of play dough is the ash.
I think that my calling by God is to play music, I don’t know if it is guitar or drums or anything else but I know for a fact that that is what i’m going to do. I had Jacob Hoekwater to introduce me to the wonderful world of playing guitar and when he did I loved it so I wanted to do it way more and than I got into playing drums and I loved that. God has Given me experiences that tell me i’m supposed to do music. One way is a few years ago I had just one guitar. I loved it and never asked for another. But my guitar teacher wanted to het another one for me for some reason. so he talked about it at church and a man whose name I don’t know decided to give my guitar teacher the money to get me the guitar. Another way is at school Im in the worship team. This gives me the opportunity to expand and learn more on the drums. I thank God for everything he has given to me. God has been preparing me through these things and probably way more that I don’t even know about.
We had the bottom part of the tower very sturdy. It was 2 spaghetti thick and it had so many supports. At first we didn’t get all the measures weren’t right so we had to draw it all over. then we didn’t have the price wright so we did all the math over twice to make sure. Then we tried to build it but the tower was to long and wide so we made the noodles smaller. My favorite part was the actual building the tower. It was fun and challenging because we had to deal with the marshmallows hardening after a day so we needed to get a lot done in little time. My least favorite part was the research. I don’t like the looking for ideas, I like to think of ideas my self and use them.
I think it is important because we are all one in the body of Christ. We all need to help one another and to do that we need to study it so we can know more and we can help them better. It is also important because it shows how much we care and if a lot of people do it and others see us do it then they will want to do it. that is why it is important that we study Christian persecution.
In bible class we made a list of an ideal church and what we wanted in it, we compared it to the early church. in the Ideal church we had mostly materialistic things like comfy chairs, a food bar, and fun outdoor things, but in the Early church there was things like they all shared everything, and nobody was hungry.
I think that it is really cool that people all had the same amount of stuff. now it is kind of hard to think that people used to share all their money and that nobody was hungry.
This project came to live, I guess, by me just thinking I want to make a ramp because they are triangles so we used that idea. We said Evel Knievel wanted to jump the Mississippi river so we did that. I think the results made sense we did round it up but it still makes sense. We did the a2 plus b2 with the length of the ramp and height and we had to figure out the distance of wood needed to build from the top of the ramp to the bottom diagonally. And that is what we did. I thought it was really fun to make this because I got to make things in class and we don’t get to do that very much so it was really cool and fun.
I really love that jesus would die on the cross even though he didn’t really want to he still did it. jesus asked god to help him but he also said not my will but yours. that is a really powerful phrase. i really like that because even when he was facing death jesus was still faithful and did as God wanted.
