I am a Sand Dune (at Silver Lake) A sand dune is made up of many things. The first way is a wide variety of sand. This different colors of sand adds contrast and texture to the sand dunes. The blowing sand makes and shapes the dunes different every time I come to make an otherwise bland landscape cool. My life is also filled with different events, people, and things that have added lots contrast to my life.
I am also a sand dune which has lots of sharp, dead stumps. These stumps are like the sins and problems in my life. When you look at a sand dune from far away you cannot see these stumps but once you enter the sand dune you can the all the patchy stumps that make the sand look like a wasteland. Like the stumps, when someone spends time around me they can see the problems and sins that make my life look like a wasteland.
I am also a sand dune which has a breeze which blows from the lake eroding and shaping the sand dune. At first glance people may not feel the wind but as you get higher up on the sand dune you feel how vital it is to the shaping of the sand dune. This breeze is my faith and beliefs that you may not see at first but see them over time. They have shaped me into the person that I am now and hope to be in the future. After a Period of time, My faith grows into a whole sand dune being shaped by the wind.
I am also like a sand dune which has lots of little but deep ponds and streams running through it. These bodies of water are important because they keep the strong winds from changing the dunes too much. It also keeps many of the nearby trees alive in the dry times of the sand dune. These bodies of water are like the streams of worship and faith that are vital to the survival of my life. We cannot survive without Jesus leading our lives.
