Before Paul became a missionary God was already preparing him for a life of ministry. When Paul was growing up he grew up in a big city called Tarsus of Cilicia which helps him to prepare him for lots of things for the future like preaching to a lot of people and a lot of different things. Also, Paul was a Pharisee growing up which also prepared him for his life of ministry because when he was growing up he had to learn scripture which then he could use that information about the gospel to speak to others. I think God could preparing me for ministry just my how I can speak Spanish which then I could talk to other people in Spanish about God and what he has done for us and how he has saved us from our sins.
In 8th grade, we did a persecution project and it was really fun to do. My group got assigned the country Nepal and we did a poster, keynote and a kahoot for our project. When we were researching our country I learned that mostly Nepal is a Hindu country and is considered the country that as the most percentage of people that are Hindu and another religion there is Buddhism. Also, only 1.4 percent of the people there believe in God. Another thing that I’ve learned from this project and just overall Christain persecution is that this subject is constantly happening around the world and it just didn’t happen back then but its happening know all over the world. But in the end, we can always pray for the people and advocate for them maybe even donate to organizations that help out with this subject of Christain persecution.
For science class, we have to make an egg tower that would withstand an earthquake (not a real one though) and we only had a certain amount of fake money that we could use to buy materials for our build. The total of materials we used to build our tower was that on the first day we spent 700 dollars we bought enough to just start the base. Then we bought, 4 Spaghetti Sticks – $400, 4 Marshmallows – $200, 4 Inches of Tape – $100. On the second day, we bought 4 inches of tape – $100, 12 spaghetti sticks – $1,200 and 8 marshmallows – $400 On the third day we spent $1350 on spaghetti sticks and marshmallows On the last day we bought 4 Spaghetti Sticks – $400 and 2 marshmallows – $100. Our total spent was $4750
My reflection on this project is that it was fun coming up with real-life ways of how this Pythagorean Theorem works in real life and how it’s quite important in life. What we ended up doing is a zip line and we had to come up with a real-life problem/scenario that it would be used in. This was ours: Ichiro Marjanović has a problem. Ichiro just built is crazy and very cool zip line at his 100.2 million dollar house in LA, California. And he his wondering how long the zip line will be to get across the lake. The dimensions of the zip line are 18 feet tall and 40 feet across. How long will the zip line go?
I think the part that worked the best is the pipe cleaners that we used for the middle of our chain. Just because they were stronger and a reliable material to use for our chain.
2) which part do you think might be a problem and why
I think the part that might have been a problem is the straws just because they did not hold a lot of the weight of the bottles. Also, it was kind of hard making them link together and the tape we used to bind theme together also didn’t really work
3) Why did you not use all of your materials
We did not use all of your materials just because we did not think that some of the materials were a good fit for this chain like paper or index cards. So that’s why we only took the stronger more reliable materials such as the ones we used for the middle of our chain to make it stronger and more efficient.
This year so far has been really good and really fun. One thing that I have enjoyed this year so far is that we are the oldest in the school and we get looked up to a lot which is pretty cool. Also, another thing that I have enjoyed so far is just being able to go to school with friends. One thing that I have learned this year is how to be a great leader to people. One thing that I’m looking forward to the near the near future is to continue to learn how to be a great leader and role model to people also, to learn a lot in all the different classes.
For this science project, we had to make a boat and race it across a tube of water. We made a boat with styrofoam and then but tinfoil around it to make it waterproof. Then we also but to doll rods and put index cards on those doll rods to make them sails. And our time that we got was 9.37 the first time and the second time we raced we got 9.73. In the end, we got to learn how to make the best and most efficient boat.
This summer I went to a basketball camp in Indiana, and that week we also went golfing and other really cool stuff. Another thing I did this summer was playing outside with my friends like going to ZCS to play frisbee and also swimming. Another cool part of my summer was going to Michigan adventures with my family and went on Tunderhawk about 14 times while my brother did over 20 also we did of other rides that were really fun like shivering timbers. (there was literally no people there) It was a really fun time there also we went to the water park there. Also I did a soccer camp at hope college with my whole USA club team and that was also really fun to do. Also the guy that though us was a MLS soccer player.
El consumo es un gran problema en el mundo, así que yo quiero hablar de esta tema para que más personas pueden ser más educados en esta situación. El consumo significa la utilización o gasto de mercancías y servicios, también la compra y uso de mercancías y servicios por parte de consumidores. Y la actividad que hicimos para la clase entera era un desafío de consumo y yo hice el consumo de agua, pero muchas otras personas hicieron otros desafíos por ejemplo, ni usar tecnología o ni usar luces en tu casa o algo cómo así. La cosa interesante de la consumo de agua es que Las estimaciones varían, pero cada persona usa alrededor de 100 galones o más agua por día. Y esto es porque quería escoger a este tema. Porque el agua es muy preciosa a nuestro saludo y necesitamos por muchas cosas y esto es porque quiero conservar a lo así que mi desafío era tomar una ducha por 5 minutos o menos para no malgastar el agua. En conclusión, era divertido y ahora tengo una perspectiva mejor que antes de este tema.
¿Quiénes Somos?
Me aprendí que hay una gran diferencia en personas que usan el agua mucho y personas que no usan por ejemplo, la persona que usa mucho aproximadamente usa 100 galones por día pero la persona que malgasta agua sería como solo usan alrededor de 40 ó 30 galones por día. También afecta al mundo no obstante a mí mismo en una buena manera. Porque mi desafío es que solo necesitaba usar poca agua. Estoy haciendo esto, porque mucho gente ni tienen agua o acceso a el agua. No obstante, muchas personas en Estados Unidos o en otros lugares usan demasiado agua. (hasta 100 galones por día pero los estimaciones varían) Una otro razón porque este desafío puede afectar al mundo sería que puede afectar al medio ambiente en una buena manera porque no estás malgastando el agua que los animales necesitan también están convergiendo que es muy bueno. Sin embargo, este desafío creo que afecto a mi familia también. (en una buena manera) Porque para usar agua cuesta dinero y si no uso mucho agua mis padres no necesitan pagar mucho para lo. Pero en conclusión, creo que este desafío era muy bueno para hacer y era divertido hacer y ahora tengo una perspectiva más mejor.

En la situación de él consumó, yo aprendí Mucho de Dios porque, Dios quiere conservar y no malgastar a los recursos en el mundo porque quiere que la tierra sea limpia y segura para todos. Una otro ejemplo cómo yo vi a Dios en este desafío sería cuando, realmente entendió cuánto agua, energía la comida etc que realmente usamos en la mundo. También Dios quiere que todos tienen agua para que pueden vivir una vida saludable y si ni tienen acceso o tienen acceso pera el agua no van a ser saludables. También en muchas lugares si encontraron el agua muchas veces el agua es muy sucio y si beben pueden ser muy enfermos y esto es porque es bueno que conservamos el agua para que otros pueden tener a lo. Y creo que si hacemos esto estamos siguiendo a Jesús, porque también él tenía un corazón para la salud de personas y creo que él quería que todas las personas sean buenos y saludos. Esto es porque es importante que conservamos a la energía o comida y si estamos haciendo esto, esto es lo que Jesús quiere. Porque él solo quiere que todos sean felices y sean saludables. Esto es porque es importante hacer todos estas cosas y no malgastar los recursos que Dios nos ha dado.

Mi desafío ha afectado a mismo en una buena manera. Porque mi desafío es que Solo necesito usar poca agua. Estoy haciendo esto porque mucho gente ni tienen agua o acceso al agua. Y una otra cosa cómo este desafío ha afectado a mí mismo es que yo necesitaba cambiar mi habito de no usar demasiada agua pero no es solo el agua que somos malos en conservar. Por ejemplo, energía en las casas o cuánto comida consumimos cada año no obstante Por término medio, los adultos necesitan unas 2,700 calorías diarias para llevar vidas sanas pero hay diferentes lugares que no meten a estos datos y esto es porque pueden tener vidas no saludables. También una otra cosa que ha aprendido, sería que hay diferentes países en vías de desarrollo. Que tienen una gran diferencia entre las personas que viven en los países desarrollados. Sin Embargo, creo que me tomamos el agua como gratis porque usamos mucho y ni nos cruzamos la mente que hay personas en este mundo que ni tienen agua o ni tienen acceso el agua. Y creo que ahorrar tengo una perspectiva más mejor que antes y ahora puedo no gastar el agua mucho para que otros que no tienen mucho pueden tener lo.

Y hay mucho gente que están viviendo en estos países de vías de desarrollo solo comen hasta 1,600 calorías y esto es porque yo quería hacer este desafío para que puedo tener una idea más claro para solo usar no mucho agua. También creo que puedo decir a otras personas a este desafío para que ellos pueden tratar y saber cómo es no usar mucho agua y que ellos pueden tener una idea o una perspectiva más mejor que antes. Y creo que si muchos hacen a un desafío de conservar energía creo que podemos hacer algo muy grande y muy bueno para nuestro mundo.

En estudios sociales estamos aprendiendo sobre Mexico, y como es el nivel de vida allí. Un cosa muy interesante de este tema era que el nivel de vida tambien el vida economica era muy diferente a la de los Estados Unidos. Tambien me sobrendió que hay muchos barrios en Mexico que tienen un gran persento de diferentes cosas. Por ejemplo, Benito Juarez es unos de los barrios muy buenos en Mexico que tiene una gran persento de casas con agua y tambíen tienen un buena persento de personas con casas echo con buenos materiales. En mi opinon no creo que esto es justo porque hay muchos personas en Mexico tratando de trabajar por su dinero pero en los Estados unidos solo necesitas trabajar un semana y creo que ganas lo que un persona en Mexico gana en 2 0 3 semanas. En conclusion, creo que personas deberían pensar en los personas que tienen un gran diferencia de nivel de vida que tuyo y que todos deberíamos ser iguales.
Ayer aprendimos sobre Las amazonas, y el historia cuando Mrs. Zastrow fue a los amazonas. El cosa que me aprendí sobre este tema fue que muchos personas que viven en los anamzonas tienen un vida muy diferente de nuestros por ejemplo, muchas personas no saben nada de los telefonos y caros y muchos otros cosas. Sin embargo, muchos personas son infermos o mueren de infermedad porque no pueden ir al doctor porque no saben que es un doctor.
Un otro cosa que me aprendí sobre este historia de los amazonas es que los personas en los amazonas legustan intercabiar cosas tambien, un cosa muy interesante es que cuando Mrs. Zastrow dijo que en Michigan un acre podrías ver como unos arboles un árbol de maple y unos especies de animal pero en los amazonas un acre es 10x de los arboles en el acre en Michigan y 10x or más de animales en este acre en los amazonas. Sin embargo, muchos animales quisas en este acre no an sean descubiertos todavía esto es porque es tan importante tener sientifícos allí para descubrir muchos de los animales que no sean descubiertos todavía.

My idea of Africa has changed, because of all the games that we did in class. By seeing that Africa is not just a hot dry place. And that Africa is a place of lots of religions and tribes. Conflict and doubt, in the bible there are lots of stories of people struggling with God. One way that subjected might come up in life is just struggling with your faith and all the temptation in life. In the bible, there are lots of people who did struggle with God and had a hard time trusting him. (God) One example is that Abraham had to live is city and family and go somewhere that he was not familiar with. Also, another example is when he took Isaac on top of the mountain to be killed and when God saw that Abraham trust him he sent a different thing to be sacrificed. Names are important because they give lots of meaning and in the bible, there a very big part of lots of stories. For example, when Abraham and Sarah had a child they name him Isaac because it meant laughter. And another example is that Abrams names mean’s a father of many because when God made his promise that Abraham would be a father of a great nation, God changes his name (Genesis 17:5) From Abram to Abraham. And also the reason why I pick this photo is that it shows who we are. Elijah asked the people of Israel, “How long will you waver between two opinions? Being Called:
Being called to do something is quite familiar in the Bible. One way that’s it shows being called in the bible is the story of Abraham and Sarah to be the parents of a great nation. Abraham and Sarah didn’t always trust God’s call and tried to control things on their own. In the end, God kept his promises. And I think that’s story is just a really good example of how God can call you in so many ways. Another way that’s God might call you in this generation would be for Jobs or being called to do something like maybe moving or doing other stuff similar to that. And the reason why I have picked this photo to demonstrate Being called by God is that It really shows the point of being called to do something and being called to do something might take a long time and could be stressful but you just have to trust and persevere. Slavery/Salvation
Slavery and salvation are in lots of stories and movies but the example that I’m going to share is from the bible. And it’s the story of how Joseph was sold into slavery by his brothers yet helps his family to survive the famine. Also, another example of slavery and salvation is that in the bible Moses was born into slavery but yet lead Israel out of Egypt and into freedom. And lots of stories of slavery and salvation in the bible or in real life or movies start off with a problem and someone come out with a solution just like that story. And the reason why I have picked this photo is that slavery and salvation is a really powerful thing in the bible and it has lots of meaning/lessons that can come from the bible. And also the reason why I have picked this photo is that it shows what the big picture of what slavery is and salvation really is. One way that this theme cloud come in your daily life is you might not really believe in God and not really trust in him. But then someone comes up to you and explains the true meaning Of God, and how to be a believer and I think That’s being in slavery and then becoming saved because you were in sin then you found the light which is Jesus.

In Exodus 20 when God told the Israelites about the ten commandments and how he would like you to live your life. Also, Law covers every area of your life. And the reason why I have picked this photo for the Sinai Law or this theme is that it shows the ten commandments and those ten commandments are the rules of our life and how we can glorify God just by following these rules. In the past kings made good decisions and followed God’s Rules but when King Ahab came into the mix he did not do to good of things and did don’t really care about the rules of God. And when Elijah heard this he said to Ahab and his wife “that there would be no rain for 3 years”. And after those 3 years, Elijah came back to Ahab and said let’s go up to the mountain and see if your god is real of see if my God is real. And when they got to the mountain Elijah setup 2 alters one for the Ball god and for for Elijah’s God (the real God) and said whatever alter sets on fire first is the real God after Elijah said that’s the sky’s went dark and a lighting struck Elijah’s altar and the people where in shock and started to say, Elijah! . (which means Jehovah is God) And the reason why I have picked this photo is that it shows when we make bad decisions bad things happen so that’s why we need to make good decisions so we don’t end up in bad situations. The way That this subject can come up in our life is that if we make bad decisions in our life bad thing will happen but if we make good decisions then opportunities and good things will happen in our life. So that’s why it’s super important to follow the rules of God and not ourselves because we want to get on the right track and on the path that’s God wants for us.

God is like the star’s in the sky. Because he his the path in our life and guide us. In the old testament, people used a lamp has a symbol of God because. That was a very common thing back in that time period because they didn’t have light bulbs like we have known. So by using a command everyday item, they can remember God every day. And I thinks it important to use something that’s we use a lot to remember him like a light switch because. By choosing the right decision (by turning it on) you go on the right path to follow. Also, The reason why I picked a picture of stars is that God is our star in our life and star’s are an everlasting light in the sky. And we can always remember that we should go on the right path in life by looking at the stars and always count on a light in the sky. One way that you might connect this theme to your daily life is that even the small things in your home have lots of meaning or use so even small things can do big things.
Las estimaciones varían, pero cada persona usa alrededor de 80 a 100 galones de agua por día. Creo que yo estoy en este grupo, porque antes del desafío de consumo yo usaba mucho agua y no me dio cuenta. Por ejemplo cuando yo necesitaba ir a un juego de fútbol y no me usó/bebió todo mi agua y solo bote en el lavabo y solo no me cruse él mente que hay personas que este agua podría salvarle. Creo que me tome agua como gratis porque yo usaba mucho y no me cruzaba la mente que hay personas en este mundo que no tienen agua o no tienen acceso al agua. Así que esto me dio la idea de hacer este desafío. Así que mi desafío de consumo o mi tema fue no usar mucha agua. Era difícil pero cada vez que necesitaba usar no mucha agua la idea de que no muchas personas tienen agua era muy poderosa. Creo que este me dio fuerza de completar este desafío, pero después de este desafío creo que voy a tener un mejor comprensión de que es él vida sin mucho agua. Esto es porque estoy haciendo este desafío de consumo.
Un experiencia que yo tenía cuando yo estaba haciendo este desafío era una día muy lluviosa y fría. No obstante tenía un juego este día cuando era muy frío y lluviosa y cuando fui a mi casa. Después de mí juego de fútbol yo necesitaba tomar un ducha porque tenía mucho tierra y todos mi ropa era muy mojada de lluvia. Después de poner todos mis cosas en un lugar para secar (lavadora) fui al ducha y pensé del desafío de consumo y necesitaba tomar un corto y fría ducha. Era difícil pero solo pensé en que yo podía todo el tiempo. Creo que mi familia pensó que era chistoso, pero para yo no un otro experencia era cuando era un día que tenía mucho sol y para yo era muy cálido afuera. Cuando me fui a mi casa para tomar una ducha pero no era tan malo porque era caliente afuera. Así que la ducha era bueno pero en conclucion creo que depende en él situación cuando tomó él ducha sí es difícil o no.
Mi desafío afectó al mundo no obstante a mí mismo en una buen manera. Porque mi desafío es que Solo necesito usar poco agua. Estoy haciendo esto porque muchas personas no tienen agua o acceso al agua. No obstante muchos personas en los estados unidos o en otros lugares usan demasiado agua. (80 hasta 100 galones por día pero los estimaciones varían) Un otro razón porque este desafío puede afectar al medio ambiente es sí solo uso poco agua la uso de agua en el mundo va a bajar no mucho pero soy 1 persona de 7.6 billon de personas. Pero en el futuro este agua que conservo en este desafío podría ser un gran parte en alguien más que sí necesita agua. Sin embargo este desafío creo que afecto mi familia también. (en una buen manera) Porque agua para usar cuesta dinero y si no uso mucho agua mis padres no necesitan pagar mucho para lo. También tenemos un tanque de séptico así que sí uso no mucho agua este tanque no va a llenar muy rápido. Creo que esto es porque mi desafío podría afectar al medio ambiente no obstante mí familia.
En conclusión, este desafío era muy divertido hacer. Ahora tengo una visión (comprensión) muy diferente de este situación. Porque muchos personas no realmente tienen mucho agua para usar o acceso a lo y creo que ahora tengo una más bueno compresión de cómo es usar podo agua. No obstante creo que voy a continuar este desafío porque este desafío realmente puede afectar al mundo o mi familia. Puede afectar al mundo porque si no me usó mucho agua el consumo de agua va a bajar. También puede afectar a mí familia porque quizás mi familia quiere tratar este mismo consumo. Sin embargo yo puede afectar o alentar a otros personas para hacer este mismo desafío de consumo. Sí muchas personas hacen este desafío realmente podemos cambiar/afectar al mundo.
This Tuesday we went to Saugatuck Center for the Arts, and we got to watch a documentary about the Dakota Access Pipeline and how some people are in conflict and do not agree. One reason why they don’t want the Dakota Access Pipeline is because it goes in there water source, where they drink from and in my opinion is that they are right they should not! have the Dakota Access Pipeline. because when the pipeline gets old it can leak oil into the water and really get people sick also it can heart and damage ecosystems into the water. After we got to watch the documentary we got to go into a art gallery and to see native american art one art piece that stuck out to me is a piece that help people that make baskets to take away any extra strips of wood that does not need to be and the price tag was quit the price but I think its worth the price.
Living on one dollar, may seem impossible but many people do it around the world in places that have a high rate of poverty, over 1.1 billion people live off of 1 dollar per day. It kind of makes you think about your life, and how blessed we are to even go to school and have food and our tables and clean fresh water whenever we want, but a lot of people don’t really have that opportunity. I think that video really impacted my point of view in life, and know I think I will look at this situation in a hole new way.
