God at Work

In Bible we have learned about Paul. He traveled a lot preaching bad stuff about God and Jesus. So when he became a Jesus lover and traveled he was used to it. Also he was used to talking out loud in front of people so that helped him out when proclaiming the word of God. Paul also was a tentmaker so when he was traveling he was able to make his own house and make some profit off of people that wanted a tent for there home. He also had a Roman citizenship so that helped him travel.

Just as God worked in Paul he also works in me. Like how I play drums at church and a benjamins hope and that makes the people happy. He may use my kindness to further his kingdom or use some of my diffrent talents.

Nigeria is number 14 on the world watch list for persecuted Christians. We had a tent with a video witch is below and also had graffiti and fun facts.

Our tower looks a little from diffrent from our blueprint. I think that we made it pretty good. I hope it is able to hold the egg. The only thing it is not 40 centimeters. It has a wide base.

8th Grade Theme Essay

This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins.  Dear friends, since God so loved us, we also ought to love one another.

1 John 4:10-11

During 8th grade camp we talked about our theme it was really cool we talked about it around the campfire. We talked about what it meant to us as a class and what we could to to spread our theme. We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world.

I can show this theme many ways at school. One way is by handing someone a ball if they lost it and not kick it down the hill because that would be mean and it would not show our theme verse. That would lead to him/her being really sad. Others would see what you did and probably do that because they look up to us. Another example would be including a kid into your group and not leave them all alone and gossip about them because they would feel bad and not feel loved. Another way is to be nice to younger kids in the halls. Don’t just walk by and say nothing go up and say hi and it will probably make their day.

As Christians, we can also show this theme to the world. If people’s homes get destroyed in a natural disaster we can go down to where they live and help build their homes again so that they don’t have to do it by themselves. Another way would make a food pantry for people that can’t afford food so that they can come and get food for their families so that they don’t starve. If people don’t have clean water and they have to walk miles for water that is not clean we should raise money for water filters so that they have clean water.

We can show our theme, Lost in Love, to others in our school and to people in the world. I think that everyone needs to be loved and and included. Don’t just let people not feel loved but love them. So I think this verse is really good and we should be lost in love.

One thing I have learned in school this year is Pangea. We also are learning about continental drift. One thing I am looking forward to this year is going on the 8th grade trips and going to timber wolf.

We made a boat out of different materials and made it to look  like a sailboat. We thought it would go fast and win but it didn’t make it past the start line before it fell off the canal. We did not finish and got last place.  We made changes by taking off the sail and puting a cup and ballon on top.  We want to do better and get to the finish line.

Our family went to Canada and Maine. We went the Quebec City and stayed at the Hotel Frontenac it felt like we where in Europe with the small streets and shops. Then we went to caribou Maine and water skied on are friends lake. It was really fun there was nobody on the lake and it was really calm. After we went to Prince Edward island and went to the red rocks and Anne of a Green gables. Another thing I did was go to our cottage. I went surfing and it was really fun because it is a nice clean surf wave and I got down a three sixty. I also went wakeboarding and it was my first time doing it on a good wave. I also went extreme tubing and we fell off a bunch.
