A Savior

God’s grace and forgiveness made completely by Jesus. God sent Jesus to die on the cross to save us from our sins because God loves us more than anyone could love anything. God is the creator and he saved us  so we can go to Heaven. At the end of the Bible that he will come back one day and destroy the old Earth and make a new one. We will all go to heaven and live in peace forever and Eternity.  My visual is a beautiful garden because God is going to come and we will live in a beautiful place forever. My reflection is that God will come and he always keeps his promises because he is the savior.

Slide to destruction

Israel worshiped bale. They take advantage of the poor. It is like a cycle God sends Prophets but then they turn back to evil ways and it keeps on repeating. Babylon  captures the Israelites and then there in exile. When there’s war in the world that is not the right thing we need to all like each other  and live in peace. My visual is a slide because they slide into destruction. My reflection  is we need to follow God and not worship any other person or thing.

Symbol of a lamp

God made a covenant with David saying his line will rule forever. God is light and he leads us through the darkness.  When we’re in the dark we use a flashlight to get us through so we are able to see what is in front of us. God is like the flashlight and he leads us through hard times because he is the light for our path. God always keeps his promises. My visual is a flashlight because he is the light for our path. My reflection is when times are scary God will be with us and get us through.

Sent to promised land

We need to trust God. The Israelites trusted him to bring them food to eat when they needed it. When they had to cross the river they were scared to but they trusted in God to keep them safe. We need to trust in God to keep us safe and he will always be with us. When my uncle was really sick and he died I had to trust God to get me through it and then my grandpa great died and that was even more ruff because my uncle died a month before so I had to really trust in God. My visual is a trust fall because we need to trust that the person will catch us. My reflection is it is hard to trust in God when times are hard.

Slavery/Salvation- God is present in struggles. People in the bible had all types of issues we have issues today also when back in the past black people were not treated fairly at all. Even now today people struggle and not treat them the same but we need to because they are human beings to. When in the bible times the Israelites were slaves in Egypt and not treated fairly. My Visual is Police are not treating black people nicely. My reflection is that we all need to treat each other the same.screen-shot-2016-12-19-at-3-13-44-pm

  1. Call-God makes a promise. God called Abraham to leave his home and go to a new place. When the Israelites left Egypt God called them to the promised land. God called Ruth to go with Naomi. And when you’re a becoming a missionary God calls you to what country to go to serve. My visual is a cell phone because god calls us to try new things. I reflect on this because my aunt got called by God to be a Missionary in China.screen-shot-2016-12-18-at-12-26-59-pm

God Loves us no matter what. This unconditional was through Jesus. M visual is Jesus because he made the unconditional covenant.screen-shot-2016-12-18-at-12-20-28-pm

1.Names– Everyone has names. Some people have long names and some have short names. In the Bible names were really important they all had different meanings. People in Bible times called God YHWH which means relational God. God has a ton of names. My visual is a name tag because it shows us what our names are.screen-shot-2016-12-16-at-11-07-48-am
