2- Money or fame can change you a lot.  so if we do get money or fame don’t let it go to our heads

3- People with money have a lot of temptations and power and i maybe get rich and famous but control it.

Shadow Day

It was a really fun time and stuff at the green houses.  We shipped most of the time and you have to be strong and be tall and have long arms.  You have to be able to count and stuff.

The CEO of Apple, Tim Cook, is going to be having a cup of coffee with two people. The only thing is, they must pay a lot of money. Cook is willing to donate one hour of his time to spend with 2 lucky people. Cook went onto a online auction site to start the bidding for this coffee time. Thursday night the bid was currently set at two hundred and ten thousand dollars with nineteen days left in the bidding. But all this money in the end is going to a good cause at a charity called The RFK center for justice and human rights. Around one hundred and eighty thousand dollars is considered a bargain for time with the CEO of the worlds largest Tec. Company. Last year a bidder ended up paying 3.4 million to have lunch with Warren Buffett. A bunch of other celebrities are taking place in this auction such as Carrie Underwood, Peyton Manning, David Lettermen and a lot more. But there will be no live tweeting or any social things available. Not even record or draw pictures of the moment.

I think that this is a good thing for Tim Cook to do because all of the richer people and celebrities get to give their money to a good cause and still get to meet Tim Cook. I was a little bit surprised to that the most powerful man in Tec. Would be making a charity. I kinda think that it might be a little much to pay to meet the CEO of a company but I guess if some people want to spend it that way, its going the charity so its all good.

The Story

(CNN) — Apple CEO Tim Cook might soon be sharing Silicon Valley’s most expensive cup of coffee.

Sometime in the next year, Cook will sit down for a cup of mud with someone who has paid at least $210,000 for the privilege.

Apple fandom taken to its craziest, and costliest, extreme? Perhaps. But it’s all for a good cause.

Cook has volunteered, through the online-auction site Charity Buzz, to share up to an hour of his precious time with two lucky (and deep-pocketed) winners. Proceeds from the auction will go to The RFK Center for Justice and Human Rights, an international nonprofit founded as a memorial to Robert F. Kennedy by his family and friends.

Apple maps move indoors

In the auction’s first day, Cook had gotten 52 bids, starting at $5,000 and spiraling upward quickly. The leading bid Thursday evening was $210,000, and there were still 19 days to go until bidding closes May 14.

The coffee chat will happen at Apple’s Cupertino, California, headquarters. The winner may bring along one guest.

The move fits in with the more open public persona Cook has adopted since replacing late Apple CEO and co-founder Steve Jobs. One of the knocks on Jobs was that he never contributed much of his considerable fortune, or celebrity, to charity — at least not in the public ways other tech titans like Microsoft’s Bill Gates and Facebook’s Mark Zuckerberg have.

By some measures, a $180,000 coffee meeting with the chief of the world’s leading tech company might be a bargain. An anonymous bidder paid $3.4 million last year for lunch with investor Warren Buffett.

Gladwell: In 50 years, people will forget Steve Jobs

Other celebs taking part in the auction for the RFK Center include Robert DeNiro, Alex Trebek, Carrie Underwood, Peyton Manning, William Shatner and David Letterman.

But if you think Apple’s typical hyper-controlling approach to its world will be relaxed during Cook’s coffee klatch, think again. For one, there will be no live-tweeting.

“The winner cannot blog, social network, talk to press, write about, take pictures or record during the experience in any way due to security regulations,” reads the auction’s legal terms.

Visitors will be required to sign a nondisclosure agreement and are subject to a security screening.

“We expect all winning bidders and their guests to conduct themselves appropriately when attending an experience won at Charitybuzz,” the terms continue. “Polite manners and respect for the generous donor and adherence to any rules or parameters are a must.”

Travel and lodging for the visit, which will last between 30 minutes and an hour, are not covered. No word on whether Cook will pick up the tab for the coffee.

The Senate Session of Buffalo

I enjoyed all the conflicts and funny opinions.  What surprised me is how many people like pink.  what frustrated me what that there is no buffalo in the middle.  I learned about my self that i like buffalos.  That everyone in my class has different opinions.  I learned that the government has lots of problems with bills and stuff like that.  The world has lots of different opinions and every person does.  i will be more careful about my opinions and where i put them.   I will sometimes agree with people and not be stubborn and make a compromise.

one of my favorite parts was with the flag. i liked how everyone was just making the flag “original”.  i would change hardly anything.

Dainen and Sarah wind erosion

We have wind erosion and you might be able to see our vocab but maybe not but there is some abrasion which is the rough and smooth rock and there is some desert pavement and some sand dunes in there

Comparing Governments

I didnt think that a country could become independent and constitution ratified in the same day, month, and year.

That everyone thinks differenntly.

most of them were republic and had a supreme court with a presedent.

all of the political parties are differnet numbers.

I would bese it mostly on the USA because we are mostly togother but i would still change a few things.

This is Dainen, Mitch, and Ian’s volcano. it is a strata volcano.  It has a crator, vent, magma chamber, magma, lava, gasses, side vent, lava tube, mainvent, and the lava flow.  it also has a town on the right, and on the left there is a lava pool  or lake.

Tokyo Serves up Dirt as Their Main Ingredient

Tokyo (CNN) — It reads like a palate-pleasing menu.

You start out with a truffle soup, followed by oysters and then a main course of flounder with risotto and vegetables. There’s a side of potatoes and you finish it off with a scoop of ice cream.

Here’s the twist — this all comes with a generous helping of dirt. Not normal, backyard variety dirt, special nutrient-rich soil.

The unique tasting menu is the creation of Toshio Tanabe, a former gymnast and boxer turned culinary inventor. Tanabe says the dirt menu was a logical addition for his quaint restaurant, Ne Quittez Pas, which is located in Tokyo’s Gotanda neighborhood.

“This is a seafood restaurant, so we have the flavors from the ocean,” he says. “I was also looking for flavors from the earth.”

Chef Tanabe says the idea to use soil came naturally.

But this is not the typical dirt you’d find it your backyard. It comes from a garden wholesaler, which provides the high quality soil, taken deep beneath the earth’s surface — 10 meters down, in fact.

Germaphobes can take some comfort, perhaps. Tanabe tells us the soil is first lab tested, and then heated to extreme temperatures, to kill off any bacteria. After that process is complete Tanabe will work it into his menu.

This special fare is certainly not dirt cheap. The set course is about US$110 per person.

And how does it taste? According to one adventurous eater, who wished to remain anonymous the night of our visit, “I didn’t think it would be real dirt. I was a bit nervous. But it was a subtle taste.”

When we ask Tanabe, about his next key ingredient, he shrugs and says he’s not sure.

“This idea came about naturally.”

Whether diners dig into the dirt or not, it does take the idea of organic to a whole new level.

Summery: There is a whole meal who’s main ingredient is dirt. There is dirt soup flowed by oysters with dirt sos and than a side of potatoes with dirt gravy and for desert a scoop of dirt ice cream. This dirt is not like dirt you could find in your back ground though, it comes from about 33 feet in the earth. It is rich in nutrients and is boiled at high temperatures for a long time before served. It sounds like it might be dirt cheep but it is a mind blowing 110 dollars for the meal. The chef who thought of it said that “he was looking for something natural” and I think he found that. I bet your wondering what it tastes like? Well people say that it sounds weird and like it wouldn’t taste good and they were a little bit scared but they say its really good and at first they didn’t think it would be real dirt.

I think it might be good because there is a lot of minerals in dirt and it is probably good for you. I don’t know why the chef would use dirt though I mean use something that might be like food related.
