My impression of Africa hasn’t changed to much today. I always knew about the poverty, I also kept hearing things about stereotyping people so the pictures just kinda proved my point on that. I really have no idea why but I keep thinking about the Internet access one, I know that obviously they don’t have our 5G Internet that we have here in the USA, but I would have expected big cities in Egypt and South Africa to have a little bit more Internet, even if it was slow. I wonder how many of those kids even know what a computer is. I feel like a snotty American now that we got this slap in the face, just last night I was complaining that we didn’t have any food for lunch. How many of them ever had to pack a lunch for school? How many of them could if they needed to? How many of them don’t understand the concept of a meal during the day? How many of them have food for living much less for school? Anyway I’m definitely not complaining about my Whole grain bread now, or my sad looking lunch. I just want to go to Africa and give them all a hug and something like a soccer ball to play with. I wonder how those athletes get noticed in their little villages and move on to be great Olympic runners? Do they know theres a world of possibilities out there for them?
I agree with feeling like a snotty american and I need to change my aditude about things because its never going to be perfect 🙂
I thought it was cool how you said there was nothing for lunch but then thought about how almost every kid in Africa that they don’t even have a chance to pack a lunch for school and they might not even understand what a meal is because they don’t get much food each day.
