Food Chains

In science class we have been learning about a food chain and food webs.
I have an example of a food chain right below:
sea weed = minnow = sunfish = bass = pike = pond snail (decomposer)
I have learned that plants are producers because they provide food from the energy of the sun. Animals are consumers because they will eat both plants and animals. A plant eating animals are called herbivores and animals that eat only other animals is called the carnivore. Decomposer are organisms which break down animal remains for a source of energy. Worms are an example of a decomposer.
My food chain shows predator and prey. A bass is a predator of the sunfish, and the bass is the prey of the pike.
I hope you have learned something from reading my blog on food chains.
