On Thursday April 18, 2013 a mans body was found in the Grand River near GrandHaven, MI. Two Marine workers were clearing brush when they noticed a body floating down river. The two followed the body down stream a little ways because they thought it was a mannequin at first. When they were able to get a reach to the vehicle they took a pole and pulled in the body. Jeff Noel, one of the marine workers said that they have had a lot of interesting things float down river but never a body. Authorities said that the crime is not related to the GrandHaven area and that the male is white and was wearing a white T-shirt with a tattoo on his leg.
My thoughts are that killing some one alone is terrible but then to trough them into a river to try and get rid of the evidence is extremely disrespectful. If I were to have a family member killed and then find out their body was ditched in a river I would feel almost mad because I wouldn’t be able to give them a normal burial,
