Native American Documentary

Tuesday we went to saugatuck center for the arts and we watched a documentary about native americans. We learned about standing rock in North Dakota and about the native american culture. After the video we went through the art museum and Their was a lot of different things of native american art. One that I really like were the baskets made out of bark from trees and the smaller pieces for the rim. I really learned a lot about their culture and their types of religion and faith and It’s not the same as ours. like theirs they have to wait until their a certain age to have a faith and believe in what the believe. We also saw some really cool sculptures that I don’t know what they were made out of but they were like really big and they were all twisty and they were just so cool. Their religion is that the creator of the world took a little bit of everything like the sea, the sand, the soil, ect. and made 4 people I think and then they multiplied. They cant believe in religion or Practice it until their an adult. It is not they same things that we have.

One dollar a day

I really like the movie a dollar a day because It really made me understand more of what was going on there. I really think that we should help. Living like that just isn’t fair. I didn’t realize it was that bad and that they were that in need of food and money. It blows  my mind that Only one guy had a real paying job that he can rely on a pay check. Others don’t know when there going to get paid next. They can’t decide in between food or paying bills, doctors appointments or school. I can’t even Imagine.
