The past few weeks I have been working on chapter three. Chapter three is when you have to add, subtract, divide, and multiply decimals. The hardest concept I had to work with would be 3-3, dividing decimals because there is a lot to work on it. I struggled to remember to stop dividing once you get to the thousandths place. I would let the problem go on and on when I could of just stopped and rounded to the hundredth place and be done. I got stopped doing this because I asked Mrs.Z for help a couple of times and she told me what to do.

Example- Page 110 #5

– 9.76 % 3.05

When you divide these two make sure that you move the decimal point that is outside the house to the spot behind all the numbers and remember to do the same to the other side. Also since one of the numbers is a negative you have to remember that when you divide a negative by a positive it is always a negative.

My total at the store was 10.25 cents fro some apples. Apples that day were 1.25 per pound. So that day I went home with 8.2 apples.

10.25 % 1.25 = 8.2

Vollyball

On the line

Toss the serve

Flying through the air, it goes over the net

Bumped back over, you call it

Bounces off your arms

Goes to the setter

Ball goes flying straight up

towards the hitter

SLAM!

The ball gets spiked down fast enough for the win.
