I used to think that Africa was this really poor country, that had basically nothing. Now, I know that they have lots of stuff, but it seems weird because it’s not what we use all the time. Most people think that in Africa it’s really hot all the time. That’s not necessarily true. My parents and my sister traveled to Ethiopia, and when they came back they said that it wasn’t hot. My sister wore hoodies just about every day. Part of that is because it’s their rainy season, but not all countries in Africa are hot like the inside of a lions mouth. I also learned that we think Africa doesn’t have any of the right resources, but really they just have different resources. Africa is not as developed as the USA. They don’t have wrong resources, they just have different resources. I also learned that most of the orphans from the world come from Africa. I also learned that not all countries have dirty water. Most people think of Africa and think “Oh, they don’t have any clean water. At all“, but in reality, they have clean water, we just don’t take the time to learn about Africa.
