The Pearl

I think that the one that stands out to me the most was how would you feel if you were one of the townspeople and you saw kino and juana and the baby walking down the street. The thing that impacted me the most was the part were the Coyotito dies. I didn’t really get alot out of this book. I think that I will think everyone wants something and if they get it it;s not always a good thing.

If I could have anything I would have the power of bees so that if you wanted to you could make the bees sting people who are mean and you could make them into anything like a hand so that you could grab something that you want. Like say I accidentally through my water bottle through the hole that goes to China. I wouldn’t have to fly to China to get the water I could just send all the bees to get the water. They could also make an air surf board and you could fly through the air and you could go anywhere. They could also do stuff that you don’t want to do like clean your room or do your chores for you. And that is about all.

So these people in Hong Kong who made a rubber duck that is a 16.5-meter (54 feet) inflatable sculpture. This guy named Hofman conceived the idea for the project in 2001. Twelve years on his own reaction to Rubber Duck is no longer simple. Though it may be modeled on a child’s toy, this massive public art installation isn’t just for kids.

“I see it as an adult thing. It makes you feel young again. It refers to your childhood when there was no stress or economic pressure, no worry about having to pay the rent,” said Hofman.

There were a lot of smiles and laughter as Rubber Duck made its splash but Hofman says he doesn’t expect everyone to react with big grins. He urged everyone who can to get out and enjoy the free public art. Next stop for Rubber Duck is the United States. The exact destination is a closely guarded secret.

I think this is kind of cool but it probably took a lot of money to make and nobody really wants to waste their money for a huge rubber duck.

senate session #1 with BUFFALOS

April 9, 2013 · No Comments · Uncategorized

The thing that frustrated me the most is that people disagreed with awesome ideas about the buffalo and its awesomeness and people don’t recognize a good animal face when they see it. I learned about my class that they are lots of times boring with their disicions about stuff like the flag. It is coping the legendary country. Sometimes the court got out of hand and people got checks for talking and stuff like that. I also learned that lots of people have really good amendments. I think that for next time they should give every ammendment a chance on voting and whichever one gets the most votes then that one would win.

This is a picture of our Science Erosion project. We did our project on Water Erosion. We made a Minecraft video about how water can erode the land. We had to include a model of our river, a model of the river after erosion and then at least 7 vocabulary words from water erosion.

comparing Government

March 7, 2013 · No Comments · Uncategorized

I learned that there are lots of other government types in the world and that there are like 200 countries in the world. I learned that there are tons of other countries other than the US and that they think differently and they do different things. One of the countries that we researched the life expectancy is only 51 years. None of the countries that we researched were the same they had princes and kings and all kinds of stuff like that. I would let the people choose what to do and if it is unreasonable then they get hurt from it so they learn stuff and there would be lower taxes so that we would not have to build lots of fancy stuff, people; if they wanted to build a super huge house then they could and that would be OK. But the government if they had to build stuff for people then they wouldn’t build it super big so they would have to spend very much money. and they would try not to buy very much stuff from other countries so that we would get in so much debt. So that is what I think, the end.

So there is this place called Wobbleworks and they created a 3D pen that lets you drow in midair and this is what you do, you load spaghetti-like strands of non-toxic ABS plastic – the same stuff that’s in 3-D printers – into the back of the pen. (A biodegradable form of plastic made from corn is also available.) The 3Doodler’s makers say each one-foot strand of plastic, available in a wide range of colors, can produce about 11 feet of moldable material. You can do lots of things with this like design a house or make huge buildings and stuff like thatWobbleWorks sees the 3Doodler as a simple and affordable form of 3-D printing, an emerging form of manufacturing that uses computer models to help machines build plastic objects. The MakerBot Replicator 2, perhaps the best-known 3-D printer for the home, costs $2,200. Cowen said they expect to sell the 3Doodler for $75, which includes a small bag of plastic strands. Lots of people that have used it have said that it is really cool and they like it a lot.

I think that this is kind of cool but I don’t think that it will sell that good because it costs a lot of money and most people don’t really care about a pen that writes in midair.
