Thoughts About Jesus’ Crucifixion

Howdy Y’all! This Post Is Actually Going To Be About My Thoughts On Jesus’ Last Seven Words. But His Crucifixion And Last Words Are Pretty Closely Related, Right? Ok. A Summary Of Jesus Last Seven Words (Not Really A Summary Since It’s More Than Seven Words…) Are Summed Up In These General Ideas:

Have COMPASSION on people; care for the needs of this life.
Persevere to the COMPLETION of the goal set before us.
Desire that FORGIVENESS be granted
Offer HOPE to the hopeless
Empathize with HUMANITY; feel with others the feelings of being human
Exercise OBEDIENCE to the will of the Father
TRUST the sovereign God

I Think A Few That I Need To Work On (I Need To Work On All, But The Ones I Have To Work On The Most) Are TRUST GOD. Here’s What I Wrote In Reflection To That.

“Living In The First World, Many People Live Under The Illusion That They Control Their Life. That God Is Where You Go When Things Get Bad, That God Is Your Fall-guy. That God Is An Emergency Brake, Or Your Spiritual Life Insurance. It’s Hard For Many People To Accept That All Their Hard Work’s Yield Isn’t Really Theirs. The Things They Invested Their Life In, Many Of Their Most Important Possessions, Ideas, And Relationships Aren’t Really Due Them. I Certainly Fall Into That ‘First World Owner Of One’s Own Life’ Category. I’d Say Occasionally, But It’s More Often Than That. It’s Hard To Give Up Everything You’ve Worked So Hard For. The Projects, Or Even People You’ve Adopted. The Things That You Loved So Much That I Sucked The Very Life Out Of You Everyday. It’s Hard To Give Up. But When You Do, You’ll Find Peace. You Won’t Have To Worry About Losing It All Because There’s Nothing Left To Lose In The Words Of Jon Foreman “Only the losers win, they’ve got nothing to prove, They’ll leave the world with nothing to lose “Only the losers win, they’ve got nothing to prove, They’ll leave the world with nothing to lose” (From The Song “Loser” Off The Album “Learning To Breathe”) Sounds So Great! Doesn’t It? Nothing To Lose, Nothing To Worry About. Too Bad It’s So Hard To Give Your Soul. So Hard To Give It All Away, But In Doing It, You’ll Find Great Reward.”

Anyways! That’s A Wrap!

Anyways!

Take Care, And Have A Good Thanksgiving!
