I had a very good weekend! (friend)

Saturday:

I drew pictures of Texas on my computer on Saturday morning. Then, I ate lunch (Activia yogurt, pineapple, pizza, Hershey’s, and Reese’s) with Mom. I went for a walk with Dad and Sam. Then, we watched “Friday Night Lights” (Season 2). We ate dinner at Carrabba’s (Italian Grill) and I ate soup, meat, and mashed potatoes. Then, we went home and watched “Friday Night Lights”. Then, I went to bed.

Sunday:

I drew pictures of Texas on my computer on Sunday morning. Then, Mom and I went to Grandpa and Grandma’s house for lunch. We ate green beans, ham, mashed potatoes, strawberries, pineapple, Hershey’s, and Reese’s. Aunt Joan and Emily came over to Grandpa and Grandma’s house to visit Bursley School. We went to Bursley School and we put students’ papers in their mailboxes, passed out papers, and wrote students’ names on Aunt Joan’s computer. Then, we went home and Aunt Joan and Emily went in their car back to their house. (Goodbye!) I went for a walk with Dad and Sam. Then, we ate dinner (mac-and-cheese, pork-chops, strawberries, and a donut). Yummmmm!  I worked out with Dad and watched “America’s Funniest Home Videos”. (Christmas edition) There was a little boy from Caledonia, Michigan in the show. (Bye Bye, Baby Teeth!) Then, we went upstairs and watched “Friday Night Lights”. Then, I went to bed. (sleep)

Today (Thursday), my friends Natalie, Jordyn, and Jaylyn will come to Miss Tracy’s room to have fun and play games with Miss Taylor and I. On Mondays, Anna, Kennedy, and Josie come to Miss Tracy’s room. On Wednesdays, Natalie, Jordyn, and Jaylyn come to Miss Tracy’s room. My friends will pick candy bars (Hershey’s, York, or Jolly Ranchers) and pick games (Say Anything, Tenzi!, Toss Up, Great States, or Destination USA).

My favorite game is Say Anything. It is a game when a player reads a question, another player writes answers, and another player will choose which answer is the best. (Say Anything: Family Edition! What hilarious things will your family say?)

Here are some other games that my friends and I play:

Toss Up! – It is a game when a player rolls the dice (like Vegas!).

Tenzi! – It is a game when a player picks a number (1-6) and rolls the dice (like Vegas!). If the player rolls all of the dice, he/she will say “Tenzi!” and another player will do the same thing again.

Great States! – It is a board game (USA map board) when a player reads a question (What is the capital of Texas?) and another player will say the answer (Austin).

Destination USA – It is a board game (another USA map board) when a player travels to states that border each other and gets a chip that has the state name on it and puts it on the table. (Texas) (“pretend vacation”) He/she will also “pretend fly” to some states.

I drew some Texas pictures on my computer on Saturday morning. Then, we ate Activia yogurt, pineapple, pizza, Hershey’s, and Reese’s for lunch. (munch) I went for a walk with Dad and Sam. Then, we went to Garden Crossings to buy some flowers and went to Rick’s to buy pork. We went home and ate dinner (asparagus, rice, pork, strawberries, and a donut). Then, Mom and I read some Texas books. (Good Night Texas, State Shapes Texas, and Texas Word Search. 3 books about Texas!) We watched Friday Night Lights (in Dillon, Texas.) Then, I went to bed. (Sleep)

Sunday:

I drew some Texas pictures on my computer on Sunday morning. Then, we went to Grandpa and Grandma’s house to eat lunch. We ate chicken, pineapple, mashed potatoes, Hershey’s, and Reese’s. We watched the Tigers play baseball and made a CD full of country music songs. I love the songs! (Jake Owen, Blake Shelton, and more) Then, I ate ice cream with Grandma and we went home. I ate Lay’s potato chips from Plano, Texas and I went for a walk with Sam and Dad. We ate dinner (pork, asparagus, rice, strawberries, and a donut). Then, we watched Friday Night Lights (in Dillon, Texas.) Then, I went to bed.

Monday:

Dad and I went to Garden Crossings on Monday morning to buy some more flowers. Then, I went home and drew Texas pictures on the computer. We ate lunch (Activia yogurt, pineapple, pizza pizza, Hershey’s, and Reese’s). Then, I went for a walk with Sam and Dad. Mom and I planned our Alaskan vacation. (Miss Jenna W) Then, we still made a CD full of country music songs. I love George Strait because he has a lot of Texas songs. (Somewhere Down in Texas) Then, Grandpa and Grandma came over for dinner and we ate asparagus, steaks, strawberries, and a donut. We watched Wheel of Fortune and Jeopardy! Then, Grandpa and Grandma drove in their car back to their house. (Goodbye, Grandpa! Goodbye, Grandma!) We watched Friday Night Lights (in Dillon, Texas. We love Friday Night Lights because Mom likes drama, Dad likes football, and I like Texas!). Then, I went to bed. (Sleep)

Memorial Day Weekend: A day on which men and women who died in active military service were remembered.

We have a long weekend (School is off on Monday because of Memorial Day).

I ate Lay’s potato chips from Plano, Texas for a snack. Then, Grandma came over to have Wendy’s for dinner. We ate a frosty, chili, and potatoes. Then, Mom and I read Texas and Train books. We watched “Wheel of Fortune”, “Jeopardy!”, and “Shark Tank”. Then, I went to bed.

I drew some Texas pictures on the computer this morning. Then, I ate yogurt, pineapple, pizza, Hershey’s, and Reese’s for lunch. We planned our Alaska vacation. (W!) Then, Dad and I went for a walk with Sam. We ate chicken, mac-and-cheese, strawberries, and a donut for dinner. We watched “Friday Night Lights”. (The characters are Coach Taylor, Julie Taylor, Lyla, the Riggins brothers, Matt Saracen, and Tyra.) Then, I went to bed.

Sunday:

I drew some Texas pictures on the computer this morning. Then, Grandma came over to pick us up. We drove to Grandpa and Grandma’s house and ate Texas chili, strawberries, pineapple, Hershey’s, and Reese’s for lunch. Aunt Joan and Leah came over to Grandpa and Grandma’s house to visit Bursley School (Aunt Joan’s school). We drove in their car there and we passed papers, put papers on students’ mailboxes, get ready for a script/play, and made a cool calendar. We went back home and Aunt Joan and Leah rode in their car to their house. Dad and I went for a walk with Sam. We ate beans, meat, strawberries, and a donut for dinner. Then, we watched “The Billboard Music Awards” (this show took place in Vegas!) and Luke Bryan won an award for the best country singer. Then, I went to bed.

Monday (School):

Our art teacher, Miss Chelsea (who is Ms. K’s cousin) came to paint an owl. I did a great job painting and the owl looks very cool. In the end of art class, I put my initials (JM) at the bottom of my painting. I showed Chelsea the Las Vegas pin and she thinks it is very cool.

The cities in Texas are: Austin, Dallas, Houston, Fort Worth, Galveston, San Antonio, Brownsville, Corpus Christi, Laredo, Lubbock, Amarillo, and El Paso. The cities I have visited are San Antonio, Austin, Fort Worth, Dallas, Waco, College Station, Houston, and Galveston. My favorite city that I have visited is Austin.

San Antonio: It has the Alamo and the River Walk.

Austin: People visit the University of Texas and hooked people’s horns. Austin is the capital of Texas. It has Congress Avenue Bridge where people see bats fly around. (Bridge, Austin, bats!) It also has the Bob Bullock Texas State History Museum where people learn about the history of Texas.

Dallas: It has the Reunion Tower (it lights up at night like Vegas)! It also has the Sixth Floor Museum where JFK got shot. (Miss Taylor and I learned about JFK’s assassination today).

Fort Worth: It has the Bureau of Engraving and Printing where people make and print money. (Money!) It also has a herd of cows walking through the streets of Fort Worth. (Cattle Drive) It also has Sundance Square in Downtown Fort Worth.

Waco: It has Baylor University. (Taylor University?)

College Station: It has the George HW Bush Presidential Library where people learn about George Bush. It also has Texas A&M University.

Houston: It has the Johnson Space Center where people learn about space, rockets, astronauts, and more. (Astronauts, Houston) It is the largest city in Texas!

Galveston: It has Mario’s Restaurant where people eat pizza pizza. People also see the Gulf of Mexico. (Island, beach?) It has the Oil Drilling Rig and Museum where people learn about oil and rigs. (Oil rig) It also has a restaurant called Saltgrass Steakhouse where people eat steaks.

Today, my friends Natalie, Jordyn, and Jaylyn came to Miss Tracy’s room to see Miss Taylor and I. We picked candy bars (Hershey’s, York, or Jolly Ranchers). We played a game called “Say Anything: Family Edition”. (What hilarious things will YOUR family say?) It is a game when a person reads the question and writes the answers and another person will choose which answer is the best.

Other games that we played are “Toss Up”, “Tenzi”, “Great States”, and “Destination USA”. I like recess because I like to play games with my friends.

On Monday, Josie, Anna, and Kennedy came to Miss Tracy’s room to play games and see Miss Taylor (Swift) and I. (Texas Jenna) On Wednesday, Natalie, Jordyn, and Jaylyn came to Miss Tracy’s room to play games. On Thursday, Natalie, Jordyn, and Jaylyn came to Miss Tracy’s room to play games.

I loved my Las Vegas pin! A lady named Kathy from Dad’s work gave it to me. I liked it when it sparkles with lights. It says, “Welcome to the Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada.” It even has a red star on the top of the sign. I showed it to Mr. Heeres, Miss Taylor, my friends, and my teachers at school and I showed it to Grandpa and Grandma at my house. They loved my Las Vegas pin! I am wearing a shirt that says, “Welcome to the Fabulous Las Vegas, Nevada” with hotels and casinos. I am also wearing shoes that sparkles like Las Vegas and I brought my Vegas pin to school today. (It is a Vegas day today!)

Grandma came over to my house to have Wendy’s chili and potatoes for dinner. I ate Wendy’s chili and potatoes and a donut for dinner. Then, Grandma and I played a game called “Sequence: States and Capitals”. Mom and I read books about Texas and trains of states. Then, we watched “Wheel of Fortune”, “Jeopardy!”, “American Pickers”, and “Shark Tank”. Then, I went to bed.

I drew some pictures on the computer this morning. Then, I ate Activia yogurt, pineapple, pizza pizza, Hershey’s, and Reese’s for lunch. Dad, Sam, and I went for a walk in the woods. Then, Mom and I looked at some Texas pictures on my purple iPad. Dad and I ordered at Red Robin. We ordered chicken-on-a-stick and fries. Then, we ate chicken-on-a-stick, fries, and a donut for dinner. I worked out with Dad and watched “Wheel of Fortune” and “Jeopardy!” Then, we went upstairs and watched “Friday Night Lights”. Then, I went to bed.

Sunday:

I went shopping at Meijer’s with Dad to buy Mother’s Day gifts for Grandma. Then, Grandpa and Grandma came over to my house for lunch and I ate steak, mashed potatoes, strawberries, pineapple, Hershey’s, and Reese’s. Then, we watched the Tigers play baseball and ate ice cream. Grandpa wore a shirt that says, “Everything is bigger in Texas.” Then, they went back to their house. I ate Lay’s potato chips from Plano, Texas and Dad, Sam, and I went for a walk in the woods. I watched “How the States Got Their Shapes Season One” on my purple laptop. Here are some of my favorite TV shows.

Wheel of Fortune-It is a game show when contestants buy vowels, spin the wheel, buy consonants, and solve the puzzle. My favorite part of the show is when they solve the puzzle.

Jeopardy!-It is also a game show. It is when Alex Trebek reads the questions out loud and the contestants will say the answers. (What is…?) My favorite part of the show is when Alex reads the questions.

The Voice-It is a singing show when contestants sing their songs and pick judges. (I want to pick Blake.) My favorite part of the show is when they sing songs.

Survivor-It is a show when a host named Jeff and his contestants play games and have fun. In the end of “Survivor,” they go to a tribal council and vote which person to go home. (LJ, the tribe has spoken.) My favorite part of the show is when they play games.

Hollywood Game Night-It is a show when a host named Jane Lynch invites celebrities to play games and have drinks. In the end of “Hollywood Game Night,” they play “Celebrity Name Game” to read the clues and guess which celebrity. My favorite part of the show is when they play “Celebrity Name Game.”

Shark Tank-It is a show when five “sharks” (people) sit on chairs and invest money. Entrepreneurs come to the “tank” and talk about their companies. My favorite part of the show is when they talk about their companies. (I Want to Draw a Cat for You)

The Middle-It is a sitcom when the Heck family (Frankie is the mom, Mike is the dad, Axl is the boy, Brick is another boy, and Sue is the girl) do some things like going to school, doing some homework, playing sports, ride in the car, and more. My favorite part of the show is when Axl and his friend did FaceTime on their computers.

Modern Family-It is a funny sitcom when three families do some things like going to school, doing some homework, do funny stuff, and more. My favorite part of the show is when there is an episode where they go to Las Vegas. (Magic)
