The state of Michigan must repair its roads. There are three good reasons that this must happen. Bad roads makes it unsafe for travelers. Bad roads discourage tourism.  Without roads repaired there will be more car repairs.

 

The state of Michigan must repair its roads for everyones safety in Michigan. For example… Three major factors are associated with fatal vehicle crashes: driver behavior, vehicle  characteristics and roadway features. It is estimated that roadway features are likely a contributing factor in approximately one-third of fatal traffic crashes. Roadway features that  impact safety include the number of lanes, lane widths, lighting, lane markings, rumble strips, shoulders, guardrails, other shielding devices, median barriers and intersection design.

We are in a crisis situation when it comes to our infrastructure in Michigan and we can not wait any longer to increase our investment towards it. We can see a benefit not just by driving on better, safer roads but also increases in efficiencies in transporting goods, improved economic conditions and increased tourism activity, helping showcase the beautiful resources Michigan has to offer, but we all must invest more. And for another example… Someone might be paying attention to not hitting a pothole.  They aren’t paying attention to the car ahead of them so guess what is likely to happen? There will be a crash. Thankfully there is a solution to that problem. We can fix the roads or

 

 

The state of Michigan must repair its roads because otherwise the unrepaired roads discourages tourism in Michigan. There are many people being disrupted from touring Michigan because of the horrible roads. Tourism is a big industry in our state. Many people travel to Michigan to vacation by the Great Lakes. They are all driving on our roads. I believe if we don’t fix our road the tourists will not come again. For example…. what if we never fixed Michigan roads we already don’t that many tourist as it is put would you want to have none

 

The state of Michigan must repair its roads because there will be more cars being repaired which Bills can range from hundreds to thousands of dollars. “A lot of broken springs. We’ve actually seen some sway bars that have been broken, wheel bearings are a big one. The potholes just continually pounding them will damage them to the point where they’ll start grinding or even get lose,” said Craig Fountain, owner of Randall Automotive.
