Volcano

first of all we made it out of play dough. We tried to do this, but it fell down so we had to re shape it. Then it fell down again so we formed it back up on the pop again. It fell down again so we gave up and made a cardboard version of our volcano. This one is ok, but it doesn’t have lego houses or a working hot spring or geyser. This one has a little bit of play dough, but not very much because we don’t want it to crush it.

God’s Preparation

I don’t really know what God has done in my life to get me where I am today and where I am going to be in the future. All I can say is that I am really good at soccer and piano and I like to write, and I also like music. For shadow day I think that I am going to be shadowing my pastor, I don’t know if God is going to do something with that or if he is going to have it be just a learning experience for me. I could become a world renown soccer star and be donating money to help christians around the world and I could donate to charities also. I could be a really good composer or piano player and be in a band and earn a lot of money to help people that need it and that need help. I could also donate that money to charities. Also I could become a really be a good writer and maybe write some christian stories and books that could help people in rough times, as many have said, ‘God works in mysterious ways’. Hey, all ya gotta do is believe. Adios

Christian Persecution

In Iraq there has been a lot of persecution. The group called ISIS is one of the major groups persecuting christians in Iraq and in Eurasia. Last year ISIS stormed into Mosul, Iraq’s second largest city and took it over, forcing Christians to convert to muslim or die.

Marshmallow tower

images-2

this sorta looked like our tower. this is not ours.

What went well…was the base of the structure.

the tower was lopsided, the tower was broken, the egg holder was broken.

my favorite part was thinking that that my tower going well, before the marshmallows froze.

getting graded on our building skills rather than our science skills, not all of us are skilled crafters.

Ideal church VS Early church

In bible class yesterday we came up with our version of an ideal church. In our ideal church we had comfy chairs and pools and stuff, but in the early church there was none of that. It was ‘praise God in everything’ and share everything. There was no room for that.

I think that this is not good, because my dad brought to my attention that if people keep saying yes to everything like going out to buy something or going to the movies on Sunday, then what will their kids do? They will say yes to even more stuff and soon, Sunday won’t mean anything any more, and no one will go to church because that won’t matter.

math project

Emily and Jeremy

We figured out what we wanted to do by looking at a roof and cutting into pieces (figuratively). OUr results make sense we double checked it. Triple checked it, and quadruple checked it. I helped me understand the pythagorean theorem much better. I hope it will help me in the exam.unnamed
