Welcome To USA

By Kaiden Cook

I was only 17 years old and I heard my mom and dad talking. So I went upstairs from my bedroom. I hid in the hall and heard that we were moving to the America. Only for my dads job of making bread in a bakery. So when I woke up my mom and dad said ‘’We are move to America next week.’’ I was shaked that we were going next week. That night I didn’t go to bed that fast because I thought how uncountable the bed on the ship would feel like.

That morning I did not want to go to America It felt like I had butterflies in my stomach. I packet all my special toys, clothes, and games. Then my dad took my bag and said lets go so we can head off right after we eat breakfast. When I got on the boat I was sad and happy at the same time because I would miss all my friends and i’m going somewhere new!

I did not go to sleep that night neither did my mom, dad, or grandpa and grandma Steenwyk and I got a little sea sick. I was sick almost every morning for like one and a half months so I did not like the ride there. So I just was playing my games on any other day and I heard the the sailer say ‘’Land Ahoy!’’ I was so happy he said that I was jumping up and down and so was everyone else we all were so happy! I started to pack all my things up and went on the front deck and sure enough there was land! And from then on my family and me started a better life.
