One thing from Paul’s past that God used in his ministry was that Paul was a tentmaker. That helped Paul because when he was doing his missionary work, he already knew how to use his resources to make a place for him to stay while he was picking up and going all the time. Another thing from Paul’s past that God used in his ministry was that Paul had Jewish and Roman citizenship. That helped Paul because at one point he was about to be arrested, and then Paul showed the man that he had Roman citizenship, and he was not arrested.
God may use me in many ways, like how he used Paul. He may use me in the way that I might help others and show them who God is. God might call me to be a missionary or to spread His kingdom in any other way.
In Bible class this month, we got into groups of three or four and researched some information about our place. Me, Brookelyn, and Sophia did a project on the Maldives. Then after we researched, we made a big and pretty poster, which had some general info, persecution stories, and ways that you can help. We also made and sang a parody of Jolene(Maldives) for our project. We also made an audio of specific stories of things that are happening in the Maldives. Brookelyn made cookies, which we sold and we all made many bookmarks to give away.
We used spaghetti noodles, marshmallows and tape to create our tower. We have been using checks with our company/group to create the best tower that we can. Later on, Mr. Devries will put it in an “earthquake place” and put an egg in it and see if the egg survives.
For math class, we made a Gucci bag for our pythogorean theorum. We made an equation to see if a Iphone X will fit in a Gucci bag pocket. We made a problem, an equation, a reflection, an Iphone X, a Gucci bag, and a Gucci wallet.
I think that the pipe cleaners worked really well, because they stuck together really well. The rubber bands didn’t work very well for us, because they kept on snapping.
We used straws, index cards, paper, string, tape, pipe cleaners, and rubber bands. We didn’t use the wooden craft sticks, because we couldn’t figure out how to use them to make a chain.
One thing that I have enjoyed this year is the teachers. Because, our teachers this year are super nice and funny. I also liked camp, becasue it was really fun. One thing that I have learned this year is how to be a better leader. We learned a lot about being a leader at camp, and it’s kind of weird that we are the oldest kids at our school now, so there’s kind of a big responsibility that goes with that. Some things that I look forward to this year is the eighth grade play, the lock in, and fun night.
This is our boat and it’s called the Zeka boat. It is made out of a 6 by 6 inch piece of styrofoam that we cut, so that it would look more like a boat. Our boat is also made out of craft sticks, tape, straws, rubber bands, and tissue paper. We put the straws in the front with the hope that it’ll go faster, Then, we also used the craft sticks to hold up the sail. We used tape to hold it all together. Then, for the sail, we used index cards with tissue paper wrapped around it to hold them together, and we used rubber bands to hold the sail together. I think that the straws worked really well, but during our first trial, the sail was to small, so we had to make it bigger. Making the sail bigger made it work better, but it still was not a very fast boat.
This summer I had a staycation, except for the few times I went up North for family reunions. This summer I tried to train my dog, Stella, and I taught her how to sit, lay down, and she can almost sit and stay. This summer I also binged watched netflix and also went to a few movies. I saw Mamma mia Here we go Again, Dog Days, Crazy Rich Asians, and Ocean’s 8. I hung out with family and friends, went swimming, went to the beach, and slept. One of my favorite things that I did this summer was sleep in. This summer I also got ready for our two exchange students, Anny and Catherine, who stay at our house as they go to high school during the school year. During the summer I went to the Ford factory and Greenfield village with my grandma and grandpa. This summer my family went to the Grand Plaza downtown Grand Rapids. We got to stay in the fancy hotel for a night. At the hotel we swam, played racket ball, and went out to eat. Finally, during the summer we also went to Ikea and the cheese cake factory.
Inmigración es algo que mucha gente ha tenido que hacer. Emigrar es cuando dejas tu propio país para ir a otro lugar. Las personas emigran por muchos diferentes razones, por ejemplo: Tal vez estén emigrando por un factor de atracción, o tal vez estén emigrando por un factor de expulsión. Un factor de atracción es algo que motiva a las personas para que vayan a otro lugar, como un nuevo trabajo, familia, o escuela. Un factor de expulsión es algo que motiva a las personas para dejar a un lugar, como una guerra, no hay trabajos, ó para una vida mejor. Hemos tenido un día de inmigración, para ver la historia de personas en nuestra comunidad que han inmigrado aquí. Inmigrar significa llegar a otro país. La mayoría de las personas que vinieron aquí por el trabajo y por la escuela. Para entender este tema, personas necesitan saber las razones porque personas emigran y cómo es su vida en su casa. Aquí es un ejemplo de alguien quién ha inmigrado a los Estados Unidos. Ahmed Al-Mokalla era un agente de policía de 38 años, de Yemen. Él tuvo que emigrar de su país por una guerra civil, luego en Estados Unidos él podía ser una policía aquí. Además, él y su familia mudaron aquí por la libertad, y para una mejor vida para su familia.

Yo aprendí sobre que sí hay muchas diferencias y similitudes de personas en el mundo. Pero hay más grandes similitudes que diferencias. Algunas diferencias son: que crecimos en lugares diferentes y en maneras diferentes, todos miramos diferentes y cada uno de nosotros tenemos nuestras propias personalidades. Sin embargo, todos fuimos creados en la imagen de Dios. Todos nosotros somos humanos, tenemos sentimientos y emociones. Tenemos luchas y agradecimientos en nuestras vidas diarias. Todos nosotros han inmigrado o alguien en nuestra familia ha inmigrado. Todos nosotros somos de diferentes partes del mundo y cada persona tiene su propia historia. Por ejemplo, mi familia es de Canadá, Alemania, Inglaterra, Irlanda, Prusia, Los países bajos y Escocia. Esto es mi historia y esto me ha formado en muchas maneras, todos tienen su propia historia y cada uno es muy fascinante. Te sugiero que aprendas la historia de alguien más.

Las historias que yo aprendí sobre los inmigrantes, me ha enseñado más sobre Dios y como él es. Dios es un buen padre, él cuida por todos sus hijos e hijas, y él tiene un plan para cada uno de nuestras vidas. En cada una de las historias de los inmigrantes que yo escuché, ellos me dijeron cuán buen Dios es. En cada una de sus historias Dios encontró a una manera para que ellos pudieran tener una vida mejor y venir a los Estados Unidos. JP quería venir a los Estados Unidos para la escuela, él no pensaba que iba a poder venir, porque él tuvo la mujer quién no dejó que personas van a un otro estado. Sin embargo, la mujer dijo a JP que él si podía ir, cuando ella dijo a todos los demás no. Dios hizo esto para que JP podía venir a los Estados Unidos, y ahora Jp está diciendo a mucha gente sobre el amor de Dios. Entonces, esto significa seguir a Jesús con respeto a este tema, porque él te va a cuidar, y va a guiarte a una vida mejor. Él quiere que todos sus hijos e hijas están seguras, y él quiere que seguimos a él.

Este tema me ha afectado, porque he tenido la oportunidad de escuchar algunas historias que me han ayudado a crecer más cerca de Dios. He visto que Dios tiene a todos en su mano y que Dios va a cuidar a todos. Luego, me ha dado la oportunidad de ver a la historia de mi familia, y ver quién ha inmigrado en mi familia, y como esto me ha afectado a mi historia. Mientras que estuvo buscando la información, vi que mucha de mi familia ha tenido que hacer mucho para venir aquí. Mi vis-vis abuela tuvo que ir por barco un largo distancia para venir aquí y mi bisabuelo estuvo en una guerra. Yo he cambiado a través de lo que aprendí, porque ahora estoy más consciente de que hay mucha gente que han vivido una vida muy difícil. Esto me ha afectado la manera que veo al mundo y me ayuda a ver que mucha gente ha tenido que pelear para venir aquí, sólo para tener una vida mejor. Mientras que nací aquí, entonces tengo la vida mejor y la libertad gratis, mientras que hay personas alrededor del mundo que desean tener la vida mejor para gratis también.

Algunos resultados que yo tengo son que debes aprender la historia de alguien más, porque esta historia te puede formar en muchas maneras diferentes. Luego, te sugiero que aprendes tú historia, y cómo tú historia te ha impactado. Además, te sugiero que no piensas malo sobre los inmigrantes, porque ellos y sus familias han ido por mucho para venir aquí. Además, tú también eres un inmigrante, entonces no debes juzgar a otros inmigrantes, cuando tú eres un inmigrante. Yo hablé con algunas inmigrantes, y ellas me dijeron algunas sugerencias que personas deben hacer para los inmigrantes y alguna información sobre ser un inmigrante. Una sugerencia es que es muy importante dar la bienvenida a los inmigrantes, porque los Estados Unidos es probablemente muy diferente de donde ellos vienen. Además, ellos me dijeron que es muy difícil ser inmigrante, porque necesitas firmar muchos papeles, hay nuevas costumbres en cada país, y los papeles y pasaportes son una gran parte de ser un inmigrante. Entonces, lo que voy a llevar conmigo para el futuro, es: que no debes juzgar a los inmigrantes, y que debes tratar a todos lo mismo.
Una cosa que aprendí sobre Dios este año, es que Dios nos ama y nos cuida tanto. He visto esto cuando el cáncer de mi abuelo estuvo yendo. Yo también, vi a Dios este año durante el campamento de séptimo grado, cuando todos estaban compartiendo cosas importantes y tristes de su vida. Todos estuvieron siendo una gran comunidad y era muy amable. Mis planes para el verano incluye un viaje a D.C. y luego yendo a Nueva York. En Nueva York vamos a ir a un programa de TV, y vamos a ir a la ciudad de Nueva York. Además, vamos a visitar a la familia allí. Además, vamos a ir a una reunión de familia para la familia de mi mamá. Luego a la inmediata familia de mi papá. Los dos reuniones van a estar en Michigan, y vamos a jugar a los juegos, ir a nadar e ir a lugares divertidas. Además, voy a jugar con mis amigas e ir a cabañas.
Para mi, la democracia es importante, porque la democracia da a todos los derechos libres. Además, la democracia deja a todos tener una voz, la democracia deja a todos estar libre. La democracia es una beneficia a todos, porque hace que todo es justo. Yo participará en nuestra democracia, por votar, y por tener una voz.
¿Qué pasó con tu país y tus resoluciones durante asamblea?
Lo que pasó con mi país, Nigeria, y nuestros resoluciones durante asamblea, fue que fuimos signatorios con dos otros países. Luego nuestra resolución casi pasó, pero era 9 a 11. Nuestro resolución era que tuvieron más cultura política y más participación política, entonces dijimos que queremos a libres noticias. Esto significa que queremos que todos tienen el derecho de saber lo que está pasando, para que su participación política y su cultura política crezca.
Nigeria piensa que la UA debe avanzar la democracia porque queremos avanzar la participación política y la cultura política.
La democracia es un sistema de gobierno en que la comunidad tiene una voz y todos tienen derechos y libertades. Una de las características de una buena democracia sería los Procesos electorales y pluralismo. Los Procesos electorales y pluralismo son cuando el país tiene elecciones libres con una variedad de opciones. Además, una otra característica de una buena democracia, sería las Libertades civiles. Las Libertades civiles son si todos los ciudadanos tienen los mismos derechos humanos. Una otra característica de una buena democracia, sería el Funcionamiento de gobierno. El Funcionamiento de gobierno es si el gobierno del país puede trabajar en realizar cambios. Además, una otra característica de una buena democracia, sería la Participación política. La Participación política es si una mayoría de la comunidad deciden participar en elecciones locales, estatales y nacionales. Finalmente, la última característica de una buena democracia es la Cultura política. La Cultura política es si ciudadanos entienden las noticias y hablan de los asuntos políticos.
Nigeria recibió 109 de 167 en el índice de democracia, esto significa que no tiene muchisima democracia, pero no tienen ninguna democracia. Nigeria está en la categoría Régimen Híbrido, y su puntuación total es 4.44 de 10 en su cantidad de democracia. En sus procesos electorales y pluralismo tienen 6.08 de 10, entonces esto puede significar que un país tiene elecciones nacionales con regularidad, pero es probable que aunque hay muchas opciones, la misma persona siempre va a ganar. Además, en sus libertades civiles recibieron un 4.41 de 10, esto puede significar que las leyes dicen derechos iguales, sin embargo en realidad, no es así. Por lo tanto en el funcionamiento de gobierno Nigeria recibió un 4.64, un ejemplo de eso sería si el gobierno no es bueno cuando tienen nuevos leyes y perspectivas. Además, Nigeria recibió un 3.33 en su participación política, eso puede significar que un líder decide cuando tiene que hacer un cambio en leyes o elecciones. Finalmente, Nigeria recibió un 3.75 en cultura política, esto puede significar que los ciudadanos no entienden las noticias, y no conversan sobre los asuntos políticos, entonces las noticias están controlados por el gobierno. Entonces, Nigeria tiene un buen Proceso electorales y pluralismo. Pero, todas las otras categorías eran menos de 4.65 de 10. Nigeria recibió este resultado, porque personas no pueden o no quieren participar en los elecciones y en las noticias políticas. Entonces, esto hace que su puntuación de democracia va abajo.

El Apartheid compara con la historia de los Estados Unidos y las leyes Jim Crow, porque los negros no tuvieron mucha en los Estados Unidos, como en el Apartheid. Los negros en los dos situaciones no fueron tratados tan bueno como los blancos y los negros tuvieron obstáculos para obtener. Por ejemplo, la distribución entre los negros y blancos fue injusto. Los negros no pudieron votar antes del Apartheid. Había un porcentaje más grande de los negros desempleados que los blancos. También, había menos graduados negros antes del Apartheid. También en los Estados Unidos, los negros no podían tener una educación tan bueno como los blancos, y fueron separados de escuelas. Los blancos tuvieron muchos lugares que los negros no podían ir adentro de. También los negros no tuvieron tan buenos casas como los blancos.
Me impacta esta información, porque me enseña cuanto el mundo a cambiado después de el Apartheid y de los Jim Crow leyes, la justicia subió mucho después del Apartheid y después del Jim Crow. Y nos enseña que el mundo puede cambiar aún más todavía.
Las cambias que yo quiero ver en nuestra sociedad ahora son que podemos ver a todos los mismo, y no ver a personas diferente por su color de piel. Debemos dar a todos un justo de chance de vivir una vida buena, sin importar de su color de piel. Todos nosotros tenemos un chance de cambiar el mundo, y como vemos a personas ahora misma, no necesitamos a esperar hasta que somos adultos. Nosotros todos tenemos un voz, y debemos usarlo.
Before I walked into school today, I thought that everyone in Africa was the same. That they all worked out in the fields, that they all had the same amount of limited resources. I thought that the people in Africa didn’t have any technology, that they all looked pretty similar, and that most of the countries in Africa were pretty much the same. But, now I know how wrong I was, now I know that quite a few people in Africa have technology. Now I know that everyone looks pretty diferent from each other. And now I know that all the diferent countries in Africa are not really all that similar after all. Also, I learned that there are quite a few christians in Africa, there are also some muslams, and the rest are no religion or a diferent religion.
Hemos aprendido mucho sobre el México DF durante estos dos semanas. Era muy interesante para mi ver que dos lugares muy cercanas fueron tan diferentes. Además era tan interesante cuando estábamos en “google maps” y vimos muchos animales en la calle, cuan diferentes los restaurantes son, las diferencias entre los casas… Me sorprendió que hay muchos lugares donde no todos tienen agua corriente, no tienen mucho lugar verde, no tienen muchos policías, no todos tienen una educación más allá de sexto grado o el opuesto. Yo vi ejemplos de desigualdad espacial en Mexico DF, porque habían muchos lugares donde todos eran muy ricos, habían buenos casas, y otros lugares que no fueron tan ricos. La desigualdad espacial no es justo y yo creo que muchas veces si es verdad que el lugar donde vives determina como vives. Porque si vives en un lugar muy rico, probablemente vas a tener mucho dinero, vas a tener un buen trabajo… Pero, si vives en un lugar más pobre, probablemente no vas a tener un muy bien trabajo, no vas a tener mucho dinero para comprar comida, tal vez no vas a tener mucho lugar verde o agua corriente… La vida no tiene que estar como esto en el Mexico DF, yo creo que las personas que son más ricas si tienen la responsabilidad de cambiar esto, porque ellos pueden dar un poco de su dinero a los pobres, ellos pueden ayudar a encontrar un más bien trabajo para los pobres y mucho más.
Yo aprendí mucho sobre las Amazones por lo que Sra. Zastrow nos enseño. Yo aprendí que las Amazonas son un habitat para los animales y los insectos. Yo también aprendí que hay tantas plantas, árboles, animales e insectos que todavía no sabemos sobre, entonces si arruinamos un parte de las Amazonas, estamos arruinando la habitat de las plantas, árboles, animales e insectos. También un importante parte de la Amazonas son las personas que viven ahí. Las personas que viven en las Amazonas son muy pobres, no tienen zapatos, usan barco en vez de carro (no tienen carros,) no comen mucho (no tienen mucha comida, solo las cosas que plantan y peces,) también todas las cosas que nosotros usamos en un nuestras vidas diarias, ellos no han escuchando de lo. Ellos también mueren mucho porque tienen un enfermedad que no pueden sanar, o no tienen suficiente para comer. Todo esto es importante, porque nos enseña que necesitamos preservar las Amazonas. También nos enseña cuanto tenemos, y que debemos estar agredecidos por todo que tenemos. Esto cambia la manera que vivo y pienso, porque me enseña cuán afortunada realmente soy.
There are a lot of different names in the bible and in the real world today. God gave people names and changed names based on their meaning. Names were very important in the bible times, and are still important today. Names showed a person’s heart or character, they corresponded with that person’ s personality and what they were like. Some examples in the bible are Sarah: Princess; she was gonna be the princess of many nations. Abraham: Father of many; he was gonna be the father of many nations. My name is Kate, and the definition of Kate is Pure. I try to live up to that, I try to think pure thoughts, and do pure actions. One of the definitions of pure is: “free of any contamination.” In my life, that means to live a pure life, without any sin (contamination,) and try to live purely, not with sin. I picked a picture of a water/pure heart because that’s how God wants us to live our lives; with a pure heart.
Covenant:
The definition of a Covenant is an agreement between two people. There are two types of covenants, conditional covenants, and unconditional covenants. A conditional covenant is like if you do this… then I will do this… A conditional covenant has conditions, and you have to do your part. An unconditional covenant is when you don’t have to do anything, there are no conditions. One example of an unconditional covenant is when God sent the rainbow after the flood. God said, “I will never flood this earth again.” There were no conditions, it was a promise that God was gonna keep, no matter what. I have a picture of shaking hands, because it reminds me of a conditional covenant, like a contract for a job or something like that. If you pay me this amount of money, then I will work for you.
Call:
God calls lots of people every day, whether it’s to move, to get a new job, to help someone; we just have to listen. During class, we watch a video by Harold Heering, he explained to us the 7 ways to recognize God’s calling on your life. Here they are: There are 7 ways to recognize God’s calling on your life, you have to know that God does the calling, you have to listen to God’s voice. You have to read your bible and do what it says, you have to seek the Holy Spirit. You have to create a Godly inner circle, you have to exercise your faith, not fear. Finally, you have to trust and obey, cause there’s no other way. God called Abraham and Sarah to be the parents of many nations. But, Abraham and Sarah didn’t always trust God’s call, they wanted to control it, but God always kept his promises. God still calls us today, you just have to listen (the 7 ways to recognize God’s calling on your own life.) You have to listen and look for God’s clues, even though it won’t always be easy. My family has had a few callings. When I was about 1, my dad had a calling to go to Michigan, so we moved there. We also had a calling to get 2 exchange students from China. My mom always felt like she should adopt, so when we found out we could get exchange students, we jumped on it. I have a picture of a boy calling for someone or something, like when we call to God, God hears our calls, and is with us. God also calls us, but it isn’t always clear or easy to hear, so we have to always be listening for that moment when God calls us.
Slavery/Salvation
There are many examples of slavery in the Bible and even quite a few today. One example of slavery in the bible, was when Joseph was sold into slavery by his own brothers, yet Joseph helped his family to survive the famine. Another example in the Bible is Moses, he was born into slavery, but he leads Israel out of Egypt. There are also many examples of Salvation. God says: “I am who I am.” God is unchanging, faithful, and present today. God is a “verb.” By saying that He was “I am,” God showed that he is alive and demonstrated himself to his people. Also by saying He was “I am,” He revealed yet another name to us, He also demonstrated that God will be with us forever. He is Past, Present, and the Future. I have a picture of handcuffs because whenever I think of the word slavery, it reminds me of a jail, you’re trapped in, and there’s no way out. Like when you’re a slave, you’re probably going to be a slave for the rest of your life, and there’s no way out of it.
Sent to the Promised Land:
Definition of trust: a firm belief in the reliability, truth, ability, or strength of someone or something. There are many examples in the bible where people had to trust in God. Some examples are: When God told Abraham and Sarah that they were going to have a baby, they had to trust that God would protect them and watch over them. They also had to trust that this was true because at the beginning they didn’t believe God. Another example was when Noah had to trust that there was actually going to be a flood and that God would watch over him when he built the ark; also that God would keep him safe during the flood. Mary and Joseph had to trust that God was going to give them a son named Jesus, and Moses had to trust that God would take care of him. The walk to promise land was a long journey, and it had a lot to do with trust. They had to trust that God would provide for their needs, and God gave them manna. When they crossed the Jordan, they had to trust God, when they marched around the wall 7 times, they had to trust God. Then, when they made it to the Promised Land, they put a standing stone there and 8-grade stones to represent what God had done for them. God told them that if they obeyed, they would be blessed, but if they disobeyed, they would be cursed. So, we need to always be asking ourselves, “Choose this day… whom will we serve?” Will we serve electronics and magazines, or tv and adds? Or, will we serve God, who loves us more than anything, and who sent his one and only son to die for us. The God who keeps all His promises and who is trustworthy. If I had to trust anyone, I would trust Him, because He gave his life for mine, He took the pain for us. It’s kind of like choosing someone to do a trust fall, you have to really trust that person to fall on them, and trust that they will catch you. I have a picture of some manna, because they had to trust God that he would provide them food, and God did.
Salute to a King:
This is the cycle of the Judges: Everything would go well, then people would sin, so God would send enemies to attack as a consequence. Then they would cry to God, then God would send a judge. Then, everything would be going fine, until the people sinned again, then God would send enemies to attack as a consequence… and the cycle kept on happening. People would look around and they wanted a king like the other nations. “Everyone did as they saw fit.” So, we have to ask ourselves, do we do what culture wants or what God wants? Culture wants us to own all the newest toys, video games, clothes. To have a big house, an expensive car, lots of money. God wants us to go to church, help the poor, He doesn’t care what we own, or how much money we have. He just wants us to love Him, serve Him, then love others, help others. So, for my symbol, I have a picture of money, because culture wants us to have lots of money, even though that isn’t what God wants.
Symbol of a Lamp:
God uses a symbol of a lamp because that was the only source of light for the people of that day. Another reason was that it symbolized a light in the dark times. God promises to send a savior through the line of David, whose line leads to Jesus who is the biggest light of the world. David was also a man after God’s own heart, even though he made many mistakes. David had many wives, he once put a husband in the front of a war, so that David could have his wife, he had too much pride, and he didn’t obey the Lord’s command. But, God does not only use perfect people, because nobody’s perfect, and everyone sins and make mistakes. But, David was also described as a faithful follower of God and a man after God’s own heart. I have a flashlight as my symbol because when it’s dark you use a flashlight to guide you. Like when Jesus came to earth he guided our hearts through the dark. So, when your ever in a dark time, look for the light that will guide you out of the dark times, and the light that will guide you toward a cleaner life, and out of the tunnel of sin.
A Savior:
The people could not keep the Sinai covenant, so God gave them a new covenant. The new covenant would not be written on stone tablets but on their hearts. It did not need animal sacrifices because Jesus is the ultimate sacrifice. What that is saying, is that Jesus would be their lamb, they would no longer have to sacrifice an animal because Jesus would be the greatest sacrifice. God, as always, longed for a relationship with his people, and he promised a new covenant with them. Jeremiah gave the people the new covenant, an unconditional covenant, and it was based on grace and forgiveness. Isaiah also gave the people pictures of the new Savior that they could relate to. Some examples are a light that has dawned in the darkness, the wolf would live with the lamb, the cow would feed the bear, a servant, a helping hand, a holy mountain, and many more. My symbol is a baby because that was what was going to save them. The baby would die for their sins. The baby would make the earth clean, whole and good again. The baby would love us and care for us more than anyone ever would or will. The baby is our Savior. The one and only.

Además miramos a una película llamado “Salam Neighbor.” Salam Neighbor fue sobre cuando ellos fueron a un campo de refugiados en Siria y vivieron con ellos por un mes. Este película tuve un gran impacto en mi vida, porque yo aprendí sobre las vidas de refugiados, y muchas de sus historias fueron muy impactantes a mi vida. Además yo escuché las historias de muchas personas.
Mi proyecto de inmigración:
Para mi proyecto de inmigración yo averigüe mi árbol de mi familia. Era muy divertido ver de donde yo estaba y de donde yo venía. Aquí hay unos fotos de lo:
This is our boat and it’s called the Zeka boat. It is made out of a 6 by 6 inch piece of styrofoam that we cut, so that it would look more like a boat. Our boat is also made out of craft sticks, tape, straws, rubber bands, and tissue paper. We put the straws in the front with the hope that it’ll go faster, Then, we also used the craft sticks to hold up the sail. We used tape to hold it all together. Then, for the sail, we used index cards with tissue paper wrapped around it to hold them together, and we used rubber bands to hold the sail together. I think that the straws worked really well, but during our first trial, the sail was to small, so we had to make it bigger. Making the sail bigger made it work better, but it still was not a very fast boat.
