Curriculum:
Bible: This week was centered around Valentine’s Day and we talked often about God’s love for us. Also during our daily devotions we discussed how we need to have a joyful heart even when the circumstances would tell us otherwise!  This can be something that is very hard but with Jesus by our side we talked about how we can be thankful for everything!
Word wall word: on ( (So far this year we have done:  I, the, a, am, look, see, at. go, we, me, up, is, like, this, here, come,my and on)
Daily 5: Because of the short week I was only able to meet with each group once. I also noticed that in the excitement of our celebration day, many book bags got left behind! You will see them again next weekend!
Writing workshop: This week we worked on putting a pattern book together completely on our own. We did one page this week and our goal next week will be to do three or four pages totally independently! We also did a writing activity based around our 100 day celebration. We each wrote down something we feel like mom or dad tells us 100 times to do! That was interesting!
Math: This week we learned that you can put shapes together to make new shapes. We put two triangles together to make a square and two squares together to make a rectangle etc. We then use our foam shapes to practice at our desks!

Book of friends: This week we added Noelle to our book of friends! It was so fun to have her back and a great way to celebrate that day!

Up in lights: This week Isleigh Lowe was up in lights! Her mom, sister and grandma came to share about her and then have lunch with her! They also brought Isleigh’s dog Murphy with them! Isleigh is an absolute joy to have in class with a heart of gold! She is always willing to put others before herself!  We are blessed to have her in our class!
