The book I most enjoyed this year was Panda-Monium by Stuart Gibbs. The genre was realistic fiction, this book takes place at a zoo in Texas. The zoo is called Fun-Jungle, and it is one of the best zoos in the United States. It has all different animals, and state of the art exhibits. There have been many crimes and mysteries at Fun-Jungle, but that doesn’t stop tickets from being constantly sold.

One of the books main characters is Teddy Fitzroy, the writer really makes you believe he is a real person. He does that by really getting the, “middle school kid” personality down on paper. I really like Teddy, he is my favorite character in the book, but also liking Teddy makes the story more fun. Teddy is a mischievous kid, he is 13 years old, and he is really good with animals, he has also solved all of the previous mysteries and crimes at Fun-Jungle. He is very brave, but can also get scared like anyone else when he gets in a bad situation.

Fun-Jungle just got permission from the Chinese to have one of their pandas. (Which are very rare, only a few thousand are still exist. But as the panda was getting transported to Fun-Jungle it was stolen. When the truck arrives that was supposed to be carrying the panda, the lead doctor traveling with it, and the panda were gone. No one knows how it happened, and the FBI are called in to help with the case. But Teddy is told to stay out of the way, and not be involved in the investigation.

Overall, I give this book 5 stars because it has a really good plot filled with a lot of twists and turns, and the characters are really fun too. This book is one of my favorites, I really enjoyed reading it. I also like it because it has a lot of mystery that makes you want to keep reading. I would strongly encourage you to pick up this book and read at least two chapters. It really sucks you in, and once you start, you can’t really stop reading this book.
