Week of May 11

Week of May 11 —– 3 weeks to go Amigos!

We are going to finish up our year with FOOD!  Everyone loves food, right?  This is one of the most useful things to learn in Spanish.  You can even use it in restaurants around town! (once they open, of course)  This week we will focus on Breakfast and Lunch.  Next week we will work on Dinner and Desserts items and then in the last week you will make your own menu!  Some of you did this last year and it was a lot of fun!

Week of April 27

¡Hola Amigos!

I pray you are all staying safe and healthy as you continue to learn at home.  We are going to design our OWN FARM this week with our farm animals that we have been learning 🙂   If you did not do the assignments last week, please start there.  I will put both links at the bottom.  Also, as I said last week, I have also made new “Groups” in WeVideo for you to post any videos that you do!  Check that out 🙂

¡Bendiciones Amigos!  (Blessings my friends!)

April 13

¡Hola Amigos!

I pray you are all doing well and finding some fun ways to continue your learning.  Here is a little Spanish fun for you!  We usually do our animal unit a little later, but it is a fun one that I know you will enjoy!  So we are going to start a little early 🙂  We will do some review this week on vocab and then we will get into our projects.

Grades 3 and 5 I would love for you to work on some Spanish a couple times a week if you are not too overwhelmed by your other work.  I will add 2 assignments EVERY week.  If you want to do these things on days that are not so busy that would be great, or you can use your Wonderfilled Wednesdays to work on your Spanish.  However you want to get it done is up to you 🙂  When learning a language it is best to spread it out, but you choose!

Grades 1 and 2, I know that you guys are busy with your required schoolwork, but if you have time please listen to some of the books and songs I have added!

Padre Nuestro (The Lords Prayer)

¡Hola Amigos!

Please practice saying the Lord’s prayer in Spanish today.  Someone just told me that saying this prayer (in any language) while you are washing your hands is the perfect amount of time to get those hands clean 🙂

We worked on this a lot first semester, so I’m hoping you remember it.  Maybe some of you still have your hanging project we did! It is also written below and you can listen to this song to refresh your memory:  https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=rotLBQU1j70

If you have time and want to, have someone video you or set your computer to video yourself saying this prayer!  Maybe use your hanging project as a prop in your video?  If you do video yourself, you can post it to seesaw or to our blog or just share it with me.  lnovakowski@zcs.org  Let me know where to find it if you do post it!  I can’t wait to see your faces!  I miss you all!!!

Padre nuestro que estás en el cielo

santificado sea tu nombre.

Venga a nosotros tu reino

y hágase tu voluntad

en la tierra como en el cielo.

Danos hoy nuestro pan de cada día

y perdona nuestras ofensas

como perdonamos a los que nos ofenden.

No nos dejes caer en tentación

Y líbranos del mal.

¡Amén!

¡Hola Amigos!

¡Amigos!

I have been missing you all!  As you may remember, my husband had surgery on the last day that you were at school.  Praise the Lord, he is home now recovering well.   I just got this new BLOG set up and I am excited to have some Spanish for you to look at and practice while you are home.   I will be adding new things to it every week!

I hope you are all doing well getting into a new normal routine.  I pray you all stay positive during all of this new learning.  It can be hard to be away from your friends and school but there are also so many positive things you can be doing each day that you wouldn’t be able to do if you were at school.

Feel free to send me an e-mail or post on the blog one thing you did today that brought you joy, maybe something that you wouldn’t have been able to do if you were at school learning.  It brightens my day to hear from you all 🙂
