The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit

The Holy Spirit is one of 3 parts of God. The Holy Spirit is the one who lives in us, he guides us, teaches us, Works in and through us, leads us, convicts us, and equips us. The Holy Spirit is the greatest gift of all, God sent him down to be with us and live in us. The Holy Spirit is always with a true believer, once you accept Christ you are immediately filled with the Holy Spirit. Throughout the bible the Holy Spirt has been called different names, all of witch describe Him and His Power in one way or another. The first time the Holy Spirit was introduced was at creation, Jesus was filled with the Holy Spirit the whole time He was on earth. The Holy Spirit has many different functions some of them are The gift giver, the reveler of truth, The fruit producer and many more.
The Holy Spirt works in my life in many different ways. He helps me decide between good and bad. He helps me say and do the right, Christian things. He leads me to do the right things and out of harm. He equips me to go out into the world and show people and/or teach people about Christ. The Holy Spirit works in my life in more ways than I can think, those were just a few examples.

Jesus’ Crucifixion

For the past few days we as a class have been looking at the last 7 words of Jesus. Jesus can teach us a lot… Every one of his last words are useful and helpful for us. It’s helpful for us to know what Jesus was thinking/ what he said when he was on the cross. Most of them were not about him but about others. We need to think of others and put them first and us last.

The Lords Prayer

In class we are talking about prayer we were asked to pick a phrase of the Lord’s Prayer and say why…

the power, and the glory,

I chose this one because I think it is important to remember that God is powerful and we need to treat him like that not just whatever. He also has a lot of glory and we sometimes forget that so this is a good reminder.

Reflection on Romans 10:9-14

9 If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. 10 For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved.11 As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame.” 12 For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile—the same Lord is Lord of alland richly blesses all who call on him, 13 for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.”14 How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them?

This verse to me means that if we say that Jesus is Lord and He saved us, we will be saved. I also think that one of the main points of this verse is that we need to preach the word to have them hear so they can believe so they can call on God and be saved. To me when it says that there is no difference between his people and God will richly bless all who call on him.
