My Favorite Book In 5th Grade

My favorite book in 5th grade is “The Hardy Boys Extreme Danger” because I like mystery books and also it includes dirtbikes wich is an obvious if you know me. In the book the 2 brothers have to find out who the mystery rider is and the X killer(when I wrote this I was trying to think of the 2 names I think I got them wrong I’m not exactly sure so I might be off on the names) and have them arrested(and the 2 brothers work for a secret agency called ATAC I forgot what it stands for it says in the book.)

Grades For The Continental And British Armys During The Revolutionary War

Grade

Continental Army

British Army

    Grade

         D

Military-

They did not have much of a navy.

In the beginning they did not have very many soldiers. -The soldiers sometimes went  home during harvest time.

– They had citizen soldiers and inexperienced soldiers, and untrained soldiers, They were good wilderness fighters.

their military was not the greatest.

Military-

The British had a very strong and experienced army, and they are the best navy in the world, and they had many more soldiers in the beginning.  -They underestimated the continental soldiers.- Hard for them to adjust to the new methods of fighting like the winter battles.

They had a very great and strong army.

Geography-

They fought on their own land. They had good marksmen who owned their own guns.  That was good because  if it was on their own land they knew it better so the army will know more hiding places to hide from the british.

Having it on their own land was bad because

some of their land and houses might get destroyed.

Geography-

They had no central city or capital to attack.

-They were fighting over large areas they did not know.-They were unfamiliar with the swamps and forests. Used to fighting in formal straight lines.

It was good that they fought on the Americans land because then none of their houses or other stuff will be ruined.

It was bad having it on the americans land because they didn’t know the land as well so it was harder to know where to hide.

Date: March 28

Group: Riley, Caleb, Lauren, and Jaylyn

Materials: foam pipe insulation, tape, and marble

Interesting details: Our group was the only group with a double loop, the double loop was used with our last piece of foam pipe insulation(i’m guessing thats why when I came back in from recess it was a little broken)(also the double loop kinda didn’t work:()

The Revolutionary War… Why?

I  think that one of the things that leads to The Revolutionary War is The Boston Massacre because of the fight between the british and the americans.     Another thing that I think leads to The Revolutionary War is TheBoston Tea Party because the sons of Liberty dumped all the tea into the boston harbor.

Whose Fault Was The Boston Massacre?

I think it was the British’s fault because they killed 5 people and shot the americans without orders and there were no sticks thrown by the americans until after the firing, and the americans didn’t kill anybody like the British did.

Write in the comments below whose fault you think it was.

Letter To The King

Dear King George,

I am very upset about you putting taxes on the sugar, theres no reason why you should, aren’t you rich enough already?!?! If you keep putting taxes on sugar, then us colonists aren’t going to buy any sugar at all and you’ll lose money,”No Taxation Without Representation,”

Sincerely,

Social Studies Presentation

<iframe src=”https://docs.google.com/a/zcsms.org/file/d/0B0l2fsVeLloIbnFGcm43LWpBdWc/preview” width=”640″ height=”385″></iframe>

In this presentation I learned a lot about Virginia’s history and I had a lot of fun doing this presentation, especially doing the keynote because I love doing keynotes.(I kept asking Emma if we were done with what we had to do first before I could do the keynote if I could start the keynote every 10 or so minutes and she probably said no literally 30 times :p) I don’t like research because I usually cant remember what I just read, also because its just boring, and I can usually never find anything so I mostly just corrected Emma and Katelyn’s spelling.

What we had to do was find information about some things from when there were pilgrims , then we had to cut them into sentences and glue them back onto the journal, then we found more information and post it on our blogs.

Sumopaint

What i learned about Sumo paint is that if a website may not look cool like all you do is draw something or whatever thats what Sumopaint kinda looks like but its actually really fun.

I liked it because you can use a picture and use another picture like of yourself and make it look like just your head or something then you can make it look like the other picture has your face.

I can use it again by going to the website www.sumopaint.com you should try it, its really fun and sometimes it can be funny.

Go

This theme tells us that we need to go make disciples. That means that we need to get people to study God’s word, go to church, and read the bible and other things like that.                                                                                  I think this is a good theme because its short and it makes sense.

PITCH

When it was our turn to go to the Venture Capitalists we went in right away instead of waiting because Kalie is in the group before us. She had to get her lunch. (I was a little nervous.) When we walked in we shook all of their hands. Then Weston Said “hello we are the Throw’n’Comebackerz”. Then Sarah said “this is Riley our ecconamist, this is Nathan our engineer, this is Weson our marketing director, and i’m Sarah the manager”. I said “ we are asking for $50 at 10% for our product The … ALL BALL!!!!!!!!!!(We all said it at the same time.)

“Here is a demonstration.” said Nathan, then Nathan showed a demonstration. “We will give $30 to the kids we sponsor in the Philippines.” said Weston.

“Do you have any questions? Asked Nathan. “what’s your target market?” asked the guy on the far left. “Boys” said Sarah. “How many are you going to make and how much are you going to sell them for?” asked the guy on the left. “Were going to make 50 of them and were going to sell them for $2.” I said.

“I’ll give you $25 for 12and a half %” said the guy on the far left, “i’ll give you the other $25 for 12 and a half%” said the guy on the left. “I’ll give you $35 for 10%” said Frank, then they let us talk about what we want to do. So we talked about it and in the end we took Frank’s offer. We shook hands with everybody and thanked Frank.
