Christian Persecution

Filed Under (Uncategorized) by on April 1, 2014 and tagged

I was surprised to learn how much persecution is really going on in the world. Countries all around the world are facing persecution for their faith. The country I was assigned was Indonesia. Indonesia has the largest muslim population in the world, over 205,000,000 muslims. About 10% of the population of Indonesia is Christians. Churches are being burnt down, people are being tortured and arrested, and many people are being killed. Prayer is one of the best ways I can help them, because no matter where I am or what I am doing, I can take some time to pray for the Christians being persecuted in Indonesia, Kenya, North Korea, and dozens of other countries. Even in the USA, there are people being targeted for being Christians. Another way to show support for the Christians being persecuted in these countries is write letters. If I write letters to Christians around the world, they might know that we are praying for them, that we are trying to support them and they are not alone. By collecting bibles to send to other countries, we are hopefully spreading God’s word to the people persecuting, and they will stop.
