Distance Learning Reflection
My week has been pretty laid back and boring. After i’m finished with school at about lunch I get real bored and dont know what to do. Our family has been trying to play a game every night though. And that gives me something to do. Also, my dog is also getting sick of us being home 24/7 and wants more attention as well.
Some of my highlights have been not having to wake up super early, being able to eat while I work, and spending more time with my dog. But ive also had hard times. Such as getting annoyed at my family easier because i’m spending more time with them. And having the same lunch every day. Or not being able to see any of my friends and being really bored.
I want my teachers to know that its nice to take breaks once in a while from school. And i’ve been able to get outside often. Also this computer is really starting to get on my nerve. My mom is feeling stressed about all the calls shes been getting from peope wanting books even thought the lirary is closed. And i’ve never really realized how much I need time away from my family sometimes.
My Social Studies Presentation
If you partiapated in a group progect sometime in the past you know that you have up’s and down’s. But sometimes it matters what you do. Not what others in your group do. Maybe their not having co-op with you is because they have nothing to do. Always make sure to split up parts evenly. Also you should make sure you practice whatever your’e doing quite often. Because if you don’t practice at all at the real thing, well you might get into a couple fights. That’s why it’s good to practice so you can solve those fights. Also you should make eye contact with whoever your’e presenting to. (You might get better grades). Here are just some tips for how you can co-op in your group and have a better presentation.
Market Day
ZCS Market Day was on Friday, May 19th. My group was me Sam & Adelynn I was happy that we sold out. Now making isn’t all you do in Market Day, there’s a bunch of loans & rentals you have to deal with.(Money stuff.) We made sporty stress balls. We made over 100 dollars in revenue!(Our earnings.) We also have to give $6 per person to the Philippines. You also have to survey the kids to see what they would like to buy most. You also have a parent consult, and present to the sharks to get the money for your ingredients. But at the end you have pay them back with your revenue. Market Day was really fun & I loved doing it.
Snow Day Challenge
Snow day! Zeeland Christian Schools snow day challenge today was: Make up a sport or game outside. What is a snow day challenge? A snow day challenge only appears on a special occasion. (a snow day obviously) so this is what me and my brother came up with:
Mr. All mcgeean
Yesterday we got to see the old mayor of holland: Mr. All McGEEAN. it was so awsome! He told us about what being a mayor felt, and what a mayor did. It was so cool to see a mayor in our classroom.
Cappon house field trip
Yesterday we went to the cappon house where the first mayor holland his wife and his 11 children lived. This is what it looks like from the outside.

We also saw a settlers house and the carriage house. It was a fun field trip.
