In Bible we have been learning about Paul’s Ministry. Paul had a few things that helped him during his ministry. He was very smart and had a private tutor. He had Roman Citizenship. Since the Roman’s were in control at the time, this was a huge benefit for him. He was also a tentmaker, so he could stay pretty much wherever he wanted to. He also preached to the Gentiles rather than the Jews, because the Jews already knew about the Bible.

In my life, there are lots of things that have prepared me for what is to come later on in my life. The first thing was adoption. When I was 9 (I think) my parents told me and my siblings that we were going to adopt. I was actually really excited, but the farther we got into our adoption, the more afraid I became. I had so many questions about it, and no one could really give me any answers. I wanted to know how long it would take. I wanted to know if he would adjust easily or not. I wanted to know how his coming home would affect my life. I wanted to know if he would like me or not, or if he wouldn’t want anything to do with me. Finally, the day came when we could FINALLY meet him. (I think the whole process took about 2 1/2 years.) When we first met him, he wouldn’t talk to us, but it only took him about a half an hour to warm up to us. By the time it was time to go back to where we were staying, Lou didn’t want us to leave. After a few days, he came to stay with us. (I was his favorite. We watched TV together and he asked to sit by me on the plane ride back.) Now, I can’t imagine ever going back to what life was like before he joined our family. I love him so much, and he brings so much joy and laughter into my life. Now, when I get married I want to adopt a child. (Or more than one, I don’t know what God’s plan is for me yet.) The second thing is the Philippines trip that I have the opportunity to go on in June. After I got accepted for it, I was looking through my spiritual journal, and found an entry from 2nd Grade saying how amazing it was that some 8th graders got to go to the Philippines and saying how much I wanted to go. It was really cool to see how God was working in my heart even back then.
