¿Qué te impactó?

Hoy JP vino para hablar a nosotros de él viniendo a la USA. Él habló de cómo todo es diferente y había cosas que él no entiende. También habló de tratando de conseguir su visa para ir a Northwestern en Iowa y que estaba en rodilla alta agua durante la noche esperando. Esto puede enseñar como Dios pone cosas en nuestro camino y necesitamos superar estas cosas. Esto enseña que Dios está contigo porque cuando él tenía la mujer que nunca da visas a personas, su mamá dijo que si fue el deseo de Dios ir a Iowa esta mujer iba a darle una visa, y cuando él tenía la visa del mujer, enseñó que fue lo que Dios quiere a nosotros y nos va a ayudar en la vida.

¿Qué aprendiste?

Yo aprendí sobre las historias de diferentes personas como Juvenal y Chen Yan. También aprendí de cómo la vida fue en otros países como China y México. Esto es un buen experiencia de aprender de las otras personas que están aquí.

Cómo vas a pensar/actuar de manera diferente ahora?

Yo voy a pensar en todos los inmigrantes diferentes porque no sabes que su historia es y voy a actuar con más amor a las personas porque podrían estar tristes de porque necesitaban inmigrar. Ahora voy a entender lo que los otras han vivido en y voy a pensar en los demás inmigrantes diferente por su historia que nos contaron.

Valió la pena escuchar a las historias de otras personas? ¿Por qué?

Si valió la pena escuchar a los inmigrantes porque cada persona tiene su historia y es bueno para escuchar a las historias para entender más de lo que otras personas han estado en. Es una buena oportunidad de aprender de los inmigrantes y que ellos son importantes también.

Today, JP came to talk to us about him coming to the USA. He talked about how everything was different and there were things that he didn’t understand. He also talked about getting a Visa and how he waited overnight in knee high water to get an interview. That shows that God puts things in front of us and we need to overcome those things. This shows that God is with us because JP’s mom said that if he got the visa from the lady who never gave people visas  it would be God’s will for him to go to Iowa and go to Northwestern, and he did get a visa from the lady.

          En el mundo hay diferentes maneras de dormir, como personas en Estados Unidos  duermen en sus camas o los que pueden, pero hay otras culturas y países que duermen en el piso o en algún otra manera. Como en Japón, personas duermen en el piso sobre una cosa construida de paja. Pero en Centro y Sur América, hay personas que usan una hamaca para dormir, y en unos lugares de África hay personas que duermen en camas reticuladas. En mi casa, cada persona tiene una cama y duerme en su cama. Todas mis amigas tienen cama que duermen en cada noche como mí. Pero para mi desafío del consumo, yo dormí en el piso. Tenía una cobija que dormía en y tenía una almohada muy dura como una roca para mi cabeza. Yo Pensé que  esté quizás no esté sería tan malo, pero no fue muy fácil. El piso es duro y mi almohada hizo como nada para mi cabeza. Escogí este tema porque yo sé que hay personas de otros países que no tienen cama entonces necesitan dormir en el piso. Esto me ayudó para entender lo que otros tienen para dormir.

         Durante la semana, yo dormí en el piso porque quería ver cómo sentía a la gente que no tiene una cama. La primera noche, yo puse mi cobija en el piso con la almohada terrible, y casi fue a dormir en mi cama porque siempre duermo en mi cama. Pero yo recordé que personas en el mundo siempre necesitan dormir en el piso para quizás toda su vida. Pero yo sólo estoy durmiendo en el piso por una semana que es nada comparado con las vidas de otras en el mundo. Entonces yo dormí en el piso todavía porque sabía que podría hacerlo si mucha gente del mundo puede hacer. La noche fue muy dura porque yo me levanté mucho durante La noche porque fue dura. Entonces necesitaba ir a dormir otra vez. En la mañana me sentía como yo no dormí durante toda La noche. Cuando la semana terminó, yo quería dormir en mi cama mucho porque estar durmiendo en el piso es duro y es incomodo.

        Mi desafío me impactó a mí porque yo pensé que una semana en el piso fue malo porque es duro e incómodo y no es fácil dormir como esto, pero otras personas en el mundo duermen en el piso por sus vidas. También en la película de Vivir en un Dólar, ellos durmieron en el piso por todo el tiempo que estaban allí que fue por 8 semanas. Cuando el hombre estaba enfermo porque tenía un parásito, él necesitaba compartir un lugar en el piso con un otro hombre. Pero personas en el mundo quizás necesitan dormir con su familia. Eso podría hacer que todos están enfermos porque estaban en un cuarto con todos. También no podían comprar la medicina porque no tenían el dinero. Si todas las personas durmieron en el piso, podrían aprender de cómo otros viven. También podrían usar menos agua porque no tendrían que lavar las cobijas. Quizás, otras personas sentirán el impacto que yo sentía cuando dormí en el piso por una semana.

          Ahora después de dormir en el piso por una semana, yo entiendo como otros viven. Cuando duermo en mi cama, yo pienso en que cómo la vida es de los otros. Creo que voy a hablar de mi experiencia con mi familia y más personas. Quizás, en el futuro, yo consideraría dormir en el piso o hacer un otro tipo de consumir otra vez, porque tiene gran impacto y puedes entender mucho de cómo otros viven. Creo que yo voy a recordar de lo que hice para el desafío de consumir porque tenía un gran impacto para mí. Ahora no voy a tomar mi cama darlo por sentado porque hay otras personas en el mundo que no tienen una cama. Quiero que otras personas la experiencia y el impacto que yo sentía después de hacer el desafío de consumir.

The people in Guatemala have to live with about no money and there are people that can go to school but others have to work hard trying to get money for the family. So there are people that can have a good education and get a good job to get money. There could be a kid that is going to school but then their family wouldn’t have money for the kid to keep going to school so then they can’t get a good job that would give them a good amount of money for food and shelter. So the people that went to Guatemala could go back to the united states, but the people there have to live with that every single day and can’t eat a lot.

What are some ways we could serve with singing? As a Choir, or in small group?

One way that you could sing a few songs at a retirement home. I prefer to sing in a choir because you can her all the other parts of the choir singing and it sounds very cool.

If I was the director of Toy Story 4 this would be how the story goes:

It was night and the toys were sleeping when Woody is awake. He feels like something is not right. He wakes up the other toys and then they notice that something does not feel right. All of the toys walk around the house looking for something that is not right when they see that there are some toys sleeping in the corner. They walked up to them and then the toys have to quickly hide because the new toys started to wake up. Then the new toys started to look around for something. Bonnie wakes up and notices that the toys are not there. Then she walks down stairs and finds her toys. She does not know why they were down there, but she brings them upstairs and then puts on the bed again. The new toys started to walk up the stairs when one of the toy slips and falls. The toy made a lot of noise as it went down the stairs. Bonnie went over and saw the new toys. She went over to her parents bedroom and wakes them up and tells the that there are some strange toys in the house. In the morning The parents take the new toys to Sunnyside. Then the toys keep coming back… To Be Continued!

Tulip Time is something that Holland does and it is about dutch heritage. During Tulip Time there are a lot of tulips. Tulip Time is also a festival. There is a parade and they sell things like snow cones, cotton candy etc. It is a very big parade. They have a lot of bands from different schools. There are also some people from some schools and they do some dutch dancing in the parade. Some of the people at the parade ware dutch clothes.

Our grade did a field trip to Request Foods. At Request Foods they make frozen food and other types of food. We learned how they did things in the factory. We went thru one of their freezers and it was very, very cold inside. Every time we went thru a different part of the factory it smelled like something different. We got to see the machines making some of the food but there would be people helping that were making sure that things were the right way that they were supposed to be like. We got to see what a truck looks like inside. I thought that it was a really fun and cool field trip.

If I find an Island, I would form a government. I would pick who would be a part of the government by a packet with a quiz on it. Then I would make some laws for my island. The laws for my island would be:

• Everyday is a snowday
• Half day school days
• You have to have a pet Koala
• You have to see a bear everyday
• You have to dive in the lake everyday in your clothes  (you own 101 pairs of clothes)

Over spring break I went to Tennessee. In Tennessee I went to the Smoky Mountains. I went on a lot of hikes, some of them were very long but they were really fun to do. Some of the hikes that I went on were muddy  but not all of them were. I liked seeing the Smoky Mountains they were very cool.

Some things that I have learned from Officer Breuker is that drugs are very bad for you. They can give you heart problems, they can give you a lot of different cancers and just from smoking your chance of getting cancer is very high, and they can give you yellow teeth and then your teeth could fall out. There are other things that can happen to you just from using drugs.

Lo que yo puedo hacer para mejorar los Domingos, es que yo puedo: pasar tiempo con Dios, puedo Enfocar en Dios, puedo adorar a Dios más, pasar tiempo con Dios, puedo agradecer a Dios por las cosas que me ha dado. También yo puedo leer la biblia, y orar a Dios.

Some of the activities that I like to do with my family is to play games, some of the games I like to play with my family is Apples to Apples, and I like to play Uno with my family. I like to watch movies with my family. I also like to go to the movies with my family. I like to go on bike rides with my family and to go on vacation.

My favorite book is called Wednesday in the Tower. It’s about this four kids (two are girls and two are boys) who are the sons and daughters of the king and queen and the youngest girl finds an egg of an animal and she has to take care of it and the castle does not want her to tell anyone else about it. But then everyone finds out that she has it.

I was in a group for a Social Studies project and we had to go to The Image Group to present it. They really liked our presentation, but if I could change something that I did it would be to add business cards. Other people did that and I think it is a good idea to do that if my group could present again.

En punto de vista de un discípulo de Jesus, yo estaría asombrado porque cuando la fiesta terminó, el madre de Jesús dijo a Jesús que no tenían vino. Después Jesús dijo a los sirvientes que necesitaban traer agua, y había vino cuando el persona que estaba encargado de la boda.

The One man Band is a video. It is was very funny because there is a man and he plays a lot of different instruments. There was a girl that was little and she had a coin and the man wanted it so he played a note Loudly  to get the girls attention. The man played a lot of music for the girl. The girl was amazed by the song. Then suddenly another man with a guitar started playing and he was talented.  The girl went over to put the shiny coin in the hat but then the other man started to play his instrument again to get the girl attention. Then both of the men surprisingly started playing all at once. The girl was so scared that she dropped the coin and it fell in the drain. So then she held out her hand greedily  for a coin but the men did not have any so she got one of the mans little violins to play and she was amazingly good at playing the violin so a random guy drop a bag full of coins for the girl.

En un libro llamado Raíces Del Mar, un niño llamado Ramón y él y otros niños fueron y encontraron a una caracola de roca y una cueva. Ramón y Mar vivieron en un lugar llamado Syburgo. Vieron a la tele porque Syburgo estaba en las noticias. Todos los nombres de las personas que viven en Syburgo tienen mar. Pero el nombre de Ramón si pones al reves dice no mar. El papá de Ramón no quería hablar de el mar, pero Ramón quería hablar de lo. Entonces Ramón y Mar fueron a la biblioteca para encontrar unos libros sobre el mar y encontraron uno entonces lo leyeron. Después el Capitán Gondomar que fue falso persiguió a Ramón. Ramón escribió un término de el libro. Ramón y Mar fueron a la señora Margo dijo a Ramón y Mar todo sobre el mar. Todo el pueblo piensa que la señora Margo tiene el capitán en su pequeño barco. Pero el capitán Gondomar es el tatara, tatara, tatara, tatara, tatara, tatara abuelo.
