Picture Book

Screen Shot 2014-02-24 at 9.55.35 AMWe started out the picture book process by interviewing 1st graders about their ideas of picture book characters, what they want to happen in the book, etc. Then we did a rough draft graph of the writing in our books. Then we edited it and made a final draft of the book. We drew 4 pictures a day and then we shared it and got feedback again from the 1st graders. Drawing so many pictures sometimes can be frustrating because you have to rush if you want to get it done. One day I left my book at school so I had to do 8 pages that day. If I could change something about it I would have used a different coloring utensil than colored pencils because colored pencils rub onto the opposite page. This picture has been fun, but long.
