The question I had a hard time with was #10 on 3-6 pg. 124. It’s 5 times 1/8. What I learned is that first when there is a whole number you have to put it into 5/1. So if The whole number was 3 you would put into 3/1. They you Would simply cross multiply. So you would multiply 5 times 1 and 1 times 8.

Answer: 1/40

Cross multiply to find the answer

You use this in every day life. We can use it by Cutting pieces of pie. You want everyone to have a piece so u can use it like that. Another example is in drinks. If you have a half gallon will there be enough for everyone to have 2? We need to know how to do these things for simple things like these.
