For immigration day we listened to people’s story of how they immigrated. I listened to this guy named Thong Chow and his story. His story was beyond anything I would have imagined. He said one thing he had to do is catch rats and roast them. Another thing he said is that he had to sneak out at night to get away because they didn’t want to get caught. I never realized it took that much effort to just move.

I am glad we had this day because I love hearing about people stories. I love hearing about where they have seen God and the troubles they went through to get to the U.S. It reminds me how blessed I am to live in a safe community.

It made me realize how blessed I am to live in such a great state. Thong Chow said that his parents tried to escape twice and the second time the Government bombed there house. No one would do that here. I am so glad we have safety
