This week in science we have been designing and making our own instruments. Our instrument is a mixture between a harmonica and a kazoo. We call it the Harmoni – kazoo. It made out of 2 popsicle sticks, a tooth pick cut in half, 2 rubber bands, and a piece of paper as long and as wide as the popsicle sticks. To make the noise that it does the paper vibrates between the popsicle sticks and to make the popsicle vibrate you have to pinch the ends of the popsicle sticks. I made a few changes to the normal design which were to put 2 pieces of paper between the popsicle sticks. To make different pitches you ove your mouth closer to the rubber band and the tooth pick. That the lower pitch and to get a higher you put your mouth in the center of the popsicle sticks. And that is our Harmoni – Kazoo.
