The one most important thing I want to about this 5 weeks we had with Mr. Minkus is the chat me and my mom had on the question on my most important piece of paper. My mom talked about the night that they were in the hospital and how at one point my aunt was on her knees screaming out a prayer to help save my dad. She made a comment “Why didn’t God take a 85 year old lady in a nursing home wanting to die instead of my dad who is wanting more time. As a symbol to remember this lesson I have a Jogging For Jimmy t – shirt that I have at my house. Me, my friends, and my family all wore those t-shirt when we ran a 5k in Grand Rapids. That question will forever be the one I remember and I hope to ask God someday.
