Reflecting as a learner.

I have enjoyed learning about Egypt. I like learning about all the different types of arts and the Egyptian gods and goddesses in the Egypt game. I also like learning about earthquakes… why they happen and when they happen. Also that they grow and are always moving. I also learned that I didn’t know very much about earthquakes.

I learned how to do efficient researching. In social studies we have been doing research about modern and ancient arts and writing. I have also learned how to do percussion in band. I have played tambouring, base drum, and chimes. In science we have also been learning how to find locations on a map with numbers and letters. Like N 63 E 25. North 63 of the equator and East 25 of the prime meridian.

I enjoy learning by looking by myself and then checking with a teacher to see if it’s correct. This works for me because I can try to figure it out all on my own and then if it is incorrect I can go and try harder to find it and if I can’t the teacher can tell me the right answer and I can correct it so that I know what it is so I can study the right thing. We have been doing this in social studies when we have to find facts and then Miss L checks to see if we have enough facts.
