Hi :)

¿A quién buscas?

—¡Raboni!

In our survey we found that what people wanted most was things like videos, interactive activities, models, and games, that is why in our exhibits we have a game for modern writing, a video for ancient writing, and a model for ancient food supply. We also had a poster for modern food supply. Posters were towards the middle in the survey but we tried to make it interesting. we added lots of bright colors to get peoples attention. We also added pictures of examples.

My first topic in the Egypt exhibit is writing. Our ancient writing exhibit was the video. In the video I was talking to Skylar about my protect for school about Egypt. I tell Skylar that almost every one knows how to read and write. Then Logan jumps in and says that is not true. He tells us that in ancient Egypt only the scribes knew how to write. He also tells us that most of the time you had to be male and your father had to be a scribe to be a scribe. Later Skylar says that Logan said that most of the time you had to be a male so does that mean that some females could be scribes to. Logan answers that some female doctors could go to scribe school to read medical text. In our modern writing project we made a game. We had all of the arabic symbols and the sound they make in English alphabet. In our presentation to our class we found out that since there are 28 symbols it was a really hard game. So to make it easier we put some of them together and left some separated.

our second topic was modern and ancient food supply in Egypt. Our ancient food supply exhibit was a model of the nile river. The model was made of tinfoil and was spray painted. the model showed that in ancient Egypt they used the nile river for farming. The nile carried sediments that made the land fertile. Also they could use the waster for drinking and watering their crops. Our modern food supply exhibit is poster. The poster has pictures and colorful writing. One of the pictures is of Kushari. Kushari is Egypts national dish. It also says that Egypt’s food supply is in danger. This is happening because the nile river is drying up and that is an important part of the food supply. Also it says that the prices of food in Egypt are rising.
