Density Lab

We are researching and finding density. We tested many objects and figured out their density. We placed 2 pop cans in water, one diet coke and one mountain dew and tested their density. The Mountain Dew sunk in the water but the Diet Coke floated but they are the same volume and size. How is that possible? Density. Both of the pop cans have the same volume and size but they have different density. Water’s density also affects if one floats and the other sinks. How? Simple, if the pop’s density is bigger than water’s density, it will sink. If it is smaller than the water’s density, it will float.
