Q & A Time (Temptations)

What are some ways that we are tempted?

Some ways that we can be tempted are almost endless, almost completely endless. One of the ways we can be tempted is by wanting to take something that is not yours, meaning that it can also be a part of jealousy, because jealousy is what leads to temptation. Temptation is your worst enemy.

So for an example a temptation of one thing can be, like wanting to take something that’s not yours, for example, taking candy from anyone. Or even doing something that your not supposed to be doing, like playing a game when your supposed to be researching stuff. Gossip is also temptation it even says so, gossiping about someone is wrong, it’s a temptation.

How can we avoid temptation?

We can avoid temptation by praying to God and asking him for his help so that he can help us in the time of need. God will help us resist, but only if we ask him to help us resist it. God is always willing to help us even if you’re the worst person on earth. After Jesus was baptised satan was always on Jesus’ tail, as far as we know there was only three temptations. The first one was in the desert when Jesus decided to fast, satan tempted Jesus into turning rocks into bread, but this is how Jesus responded” For it is written man shall not live on bread alone” satan did not know how to respond, the second time was at a temple. This is what satan said “Jump to the top of the temple and fall down and command your angels to catch you” Jesus was tempted but he didn’t do as satan tempted to do, instead Jesus prayed to God to help him, and so God did. ( I forgot what the last temptation is, but you can find out in John 2:11-20, at least I think thats what it is)
