Well, I got to research christian persecution in Kazakhstan. Kazakhstan is a country that claims to have freedom of religion, yet still persecutes christians. Persecution has ranged from false accusations, to church raids, to arrests, which are followed by re-arrests. The christians in Kazakhstan have been accused of distributing drugs, possessing “extremist” materials, like literature and videos, and being mentally ill. Following these accusations, there have been church raids, though not much detail on the violence that takes place. Also, following all these other things, there have been arrests based on the accusations, where christian prisoners have been tortured and denied medical attention.
Now, of course, there are plenty of things that we could do to help stop this persecution. One big thing that we could do is help out in the community, then people will see us, se what we do, and hopefully want to be more like us. Apart from that, we could send in bibles, money, and building supplies for churches.

Si pudiera cambiar algún injusticia, seria la injusticia de que algunos países dicen que si tienen libertad de religion, pero en realidad, para ser religioso es difícil por los tantos restricciones y regulaciones que necesitan seguir para alabar a su religion.
Una injusticia que ha sido cambiado es la injusticia del comunismo en algunos países. En esos países, había comunismo, y la sociedad estaba sufriendo de tantas regulaciones y no podias hacer casi nada. Todo estaba en uniformo y no habia librertad de hablar, libertad de religíon, no podías hacer casi nada que estaba fuera de las regulaciones. Pero, por su puesto, eso tenia un parte fundamental en la cultura de ese país. Cambio por la falta de comunismo, y el comunismo salio sin guerra porque habian tantas personas en contra. No se realmente como hizieron, pero ahora no tienen el comunismo.

Band, as of right now, is coming along well. There, of course are some exceptions to this, like that we are expected to practice, and practice a lot. To add insult to injury, we are competing with 5th, 6th, and 7th graders, who don’t have play practice, guitar practice, driver’s ed classes and homework from driver’s ed, on top of school homework which is significantly larger.
The songs we’re playing are fun, with the exception of the Zydeco Cajun Crawdad Dance, which I just for some odd reason do not like. In the event that we are all playing well, band goes well.

Mundo del fin del Mundo es una historia de una persona y su pelea contra balleneros. La antagonista de la historia seria el capitan japonez, Tanifuji, y su barco, el Nishin Maru. El narrador trabaja con el organización Greenpeace, y ellos tratan de encontrar ballenas y parar el Nishin Maru de cazar los.
Hay maneras justas y injustas de matar a animales. Lo justo seria un manera de matar en que el animal no siente mucha pena. Una manera injusta seria atraparlo (con el excepción de pescando) y después matarlo, o matarlo lentamente.
No pienso que deberias matar a ballenas, o no por el carne. Estoy diciendo eso porque no he tratado la carne de ballena, pero se que hay mas recursos que puede venir de las ballenas, pero son productos que podemos usar otras cosas en vez de.

En los estudios sociales, estamos haciendo nuestro propio “Paiz”, que ahora llama Africa. Tenemos nuestros propios “roles”, yo estoy el fiscal general, y necesitaba establecer el prisión. Me sorprendió un poco las planes que teníamos por el ejercito, y fue mas que un poquito ridículo.
Aprendi un poco sobre como fue el EEUU en sus tiempos tempranos, como que estaba en deuda, mucho deuda, y que por eso necesitaban estar algunos compromisos, como un ejercito mas realistico y menor, solamente un prisión. Tambien aprendió que inicialmente teníamos expectativos que fueron mas que realisticos, como que necesitamos un ejercito con ninjas y leones con entrenamiento de una ninja.
Pienso que hay un posibilidad que sobrevivimos como un gobierno. Eso no afecta mis interacciones con otras personas, o por lo menos no mucho. Mis pensamientos sobre el gobierno cambiaba, como sobre como deuda funcciona, y los impuestos.
Repaso de Rebeldes

Mi informe para “Rebeldes”
Rebeldes es un historia de ficción realista que pasa en un ciudad pequeño en Oklahoma. En Oklahoma, hay dos diferentes pandillas, los ricos Socs y los no-tan-rico Greasers, la pandilla en que esta la protagonista Ponyboy Curtis. Rebeldes fue originalmente escrito en un libro, pero después fue adaptado en una película en 1983.
Hay muchos semejanzas entre el libro y la película. Uno es que Johnny, el mejor amigo de Ponyboy, mata a un socs, seguido por su escape (con Ponyboy) a una iglesia abandonada, que inflama cuando van a Dairy Queen, con niños pequeños adentro, uno de los cuales muerde a Ponyboy.
Hay algunos diferencias entre los dos también, pero algunos no son moy obvios. Uno, que es muy obvio, es que en vez de teniendo el caballo de Sodapop, Micky, es que en la película, Two-bit le gusta la animación de Mickey Mouse, que es muy raro, porque Two-bit es como un adulto joven. Un otro diferencia, que no es demasiado obvio, es que Ponyboy no escribe el papel/historia para escuela, sino que escribe solamente porque quiere. Algo más es que no muestran el sesión de corte, pero pienso que tienen razón por eso, porque ese parte fue muy pequeño en el libro, entonces pienso que los productores y directores no pensaban que eso fue muy necesario.
Me gustaba la pelicula, pero habia algunos problemas. Primero: la empieza va muy rapido, tan rapido, que algunas partes no tenían mucho sentido, o no me impacto mucho porque no les dan a los actores mucho tiempo para reaccionar a eventos. Excepto por todo eso, la película es más exacto que muchos de los adaptaciones de libro a película hoy.
Para concluir todo eso, pienso que fue un buen idea hacer un película de Rebeldes, no hace muchas cosas diferentes en la película que en el libro, en total, pienso que mejora a la experiencia del libro, es casi igual. No me cambia mucho después de leer el libro o ver la película, pero aprendí que debo “seguir dorado”, básicamente de seguir inocente. Pienso que la parte más impactante fue cuando Johnny murio porque fue el amigo mejor de Ponyboy.

Hicimos un “Ayuntamiento” de la corte suprema, el caso fue de Greece contra Galloway. Mi rol fue un abogado demandado en el lado de Greece. Queríamos que el pueblo de Greece queda con la oración antes de los ayuntamientos legislativos, pero Greece decía que eso no era constitucional porque el gobierno estaba soportando cosas religiosas. Primero los demandantes de Galloway hacían sus acusones, después nosotros acusamos a los demandantes, y termine con los dos lados defendiendo. Me sentí un poco nervioso, teníamos puntos buenos, pero no fue presentado muy bien. Me veo el mundo diferente por los puntos de los demandantes, porque ellos tenían puntos buenos, y tal vez mejores, que los nuestros.

Queridos padres,
Mi viaje al sur no fue demasiado bueno. Estaba observando un juego de fútbol en mi hotel, y el equipo que quería ganar (U de C) no gano. Perdió $50. Después de eso, fui a un club de tango, pero no sabia como hacer. afortunadamente, había un clase en un otro salón. Fui a la clase, pero cuando termine, el club estaba cerrando, entonces fui al club por casi nada. Con mucho sueño, regreso a mi hotel a las 11:40 PM y dormio hasta 9:33. Fui a algunos museos, uno de arte, uno de historia, una de la historia de arte, y después uno de “La Arte de Historia”.

Mi “Viaje” al “Nuevo Mundo”

En Europa fue un herero. No hice mucho, no habían muchas guerras, entonces solo estaba haciendo instrumentos y otras cosas que estaban usado en la vida practical y normal. Pero no fue la vida mas dificil que podria estar, habian mis clientes regulares, alguien que necesitaba instrumentos o partes para algo, no algo muy interesante. Cuando llegaban noticias de vida en un nuevo mundo, salió de ver como podía ir.
En nuestro pueblo, que se llama Villa de Keegan por un razón que no intende pero que nuestro líder insistía. Tenemos muchas cosas, algunas cosas pienso que hay cosas que no son necesarios.

I think that the people who chnaged the most would be the security gaurds because first there was some tension between the two because of the tension between the blacks and the whites and then they gradually got together and even just played some rugby together.
I was most impacted by when they visited Nelson’s prison and how confined it was and also how the sun was hurting his eyes in that other scene
Water Quality Boat Trip

We learned that scientists study many aspects of the water, sediment, dissolved oxygen, pH and alkalinity to determine whether the water is eutrophic, mesotrophic or oligotrophic. We also learned that there are tons of microbes in lake water. Spring Lake was shallower, dirtier, browner and had more sediment, while Lake Michigan was deeper, bluer, had less sediment, and was deeper. My personal favorite academic part was when they showed us the picture of Asian Carp all jumping up in the air behind a boat.

Mi parte favorito de esta actividad fue el debate porque primero, fue divertido, porque gustaba ver a “delegados” de otros paises argumentando, segundo, los dos lados tenian puntos buenos, y finalmente, realizo que delegados de la UA real tenia que debatir de cosas como estos mucho mas y que lo estabamos haciendo solo fue un poquito de la vida diaria de los delegados reales. Tambien hablabamos con al embasador del EEUU al DRC, fue el delegado de EEUU al DRC.
Yo aprendi que no todas las personas piensan lo mismo que usted a pesar de que pienses que es correcto.
Mi papel fue el departamento de defenso y seguridad. Nosotros estabamos hablando/debatiendo del conflicto de Mali.

Before this, I considered Africa to be all savanah, slums, mud huts, with maybe a few towns and cities scattered here and there, however, now I think of africa as both more developed and less developed in many ways, first of all, I found it was less developed in the sense that dispite all of Africa’s resources, very little was made from them. Also, apparently, African education is even lower than i expected, and that so many Africian children my age haven’t even set foot in a class room, that the majority of orphans in the world were from Africa, and that many of those orphans were orphaned because of HIV Aids. Fortunatlely, treatment for HIV was getting it’s way through Africa and to the countries, towns and tribes that need it.

En todos esos usos de la selva tropical, y hay beneficios que van con todos esos, pero tambien esos afectan a la selva tropical, y no todos esos son por lo bueno. Pienso que necesitamos usar en maneras que no dañan a la selva, y si hacemos esas cosas como cortar arboles, necesitamos hacer algo como plantar una semilla por cada arbol que cortamos. Aprendi que hay muchos grupos de personajes quienes tienen diferentes maneras de usarle. Una cosa que me pregunto es hay otras maneras en que podemos usar la selva.
