We were challenged in Science to make an instrument from PVC pipe and other resources.
I made one, believe it or not.
– Name: Harp-maraca
– How it works: Well, we (my dad and I) welded some PVC pipe together and added some rubber bands. I also added some nuts and bolts on the inside, so when you shake it, it makes a noise like a maraca. When you strum the rubber bands, it makes a vibration. It isn’t too loud, but it does work.
– Challenges you encountered: For starters, my dad and I could not figure out what made the desired noise we wanted for the maracas. On our 4th attempt, we discovered nuts and bolts made the most noise and it sounded the best.
