This is my erosion project. It was very fun to do learn about all the different things of wave erosion. There are some vocab. words we had to put in we had to use seven words that most people didn’t know. We chose Sea cave, Barrier island, wave refraction, longshore current, longshore bar, estuary, and bay mouth bar. There had to be a before and after model of the wave erosion. Over all it was really cool.
This is our Volcano we made in Science Class. We can have them erupt if we want and ours is going to. It was very fun to work on, and I wish I could do it again. In the Beginning it was a slight Struggle but in the end it was fun.
The stoning of Stephen
I just heard that there was a guy who was stoned by angry members of the Sanhedrin. He was just chosen by the twelve disciples to be one of the seven they were going to chose that were full of the Holy Spirit. He was telling people about the the truth that the Holy Spirit was filling him with. Some people who didn’t like what Stephen was doing called some false witnesses to say that Stephen was speaking blasphemy against God. They also said that he was saying Jesus would destroy this place and change to customs of moses. The Sanhedrin asked if it was true if what they were told was true. Stephen said, “Brothers and fathers, listen to me! The God of glory appeared to our father Abraham while he was still in Mesopotamia, before he lived in Harran. ‘Leave your country and your people,” God said, ‘and go to the land I will show you.’ God told Abraham that he would not be able to set his feet there but his descendants would even though he had no children yet. Abraham had a son and had many descendants Jacob’s sons were angry with their brother and sold him to egypt, He became a friend of Pharaoh, but once he died they forgot about him. Moses was born into slavery and was raised by Pharaoh’s daughter, and later lead all the people out of Israel to the promise land which was promised by God to Abraham. When the members of the Sanhedrin heard this, they were furious and gnashed their teeth at him. But Stephen, full of the Holy Spirit, looked up to heaven and saw the glory of God, and Jesus standing at the right hand of God. “Look,” he said, “I see heaven open and the Son of Man standing at the right hand of God.” Then they rushed at him and they dragged him into the streets and stoned him. Stephen prayed, “Lord Jesus, receive my spirit.” Then he fell on his knees and cried out, “Lord, do not hold this sin against them.” When he had said this, he fell died.
In Science we built spaghetti earthquake towers. We were finished with it and it was straight up. We thought it would fall so we put water on it. The water softened the marshmallow and a stick fell. It had to last the weekend and the softer it got the more it leaned. Now it stuck like that.
Who is the Holy Spirit and How does He work in your life?
The Holy Spirit is God only He is inside of me all the time. When I have no clue what to say He tells me what to say. If I don’t understand something He translates it for me. When Jesus ascended into heaven he sent His helper the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit was in my heart before I was even born.
The Holy Spirit is the best thing that ever happened to me because now I can understand the true word, and I can spread it with His help. The Holy Spirit is Omnipresent and is in the hearts of all believers. The Holy Spirit is also omnipotent He can do anything he wants to do when He wants it done. The Holy Spirit is the part that holds all of the Christians in the world to God.
When you go to a grocery store, you can use square roots. If you only have 90 dollars and you go to the store you need to know how may things you can get. You are walking through the rows and your kids are begging for this and that but you need 9 boxes of cake mix for 9 dollars it equals 81 dollars then you add tax 85.46. On a calculator you do 2nd x squared then 85.46 and you get the price for one box and you see if any are cheaper then that. If not you know you have a little money left over and can get your kids something.
We went bowling yesterday and had a lot of fun. I liked how everyone had a good time playing together and always had a positive attitude about everything. We should do it more often so we can all get to know each other better. I like how we all came together just a little bit more just from that little thing.
I think its really cool how the last seven words of Jesus mean the things we have been talking about in Bible this year. We can take the words that jesus said and match them to the poster and we can do the same thing Jesus did for us. We can Trust the sovereign God, Have compassion on people, Preserver to the completion of the goal set before us, Desire that forgiveness be granted, Offer hope to the hopeless, Empathize with humanity, exercise obedience to the will of the Father. Those are the things that Jesus meant in His last seven words.
