Steps to Ratify the Constitution

1.I think that it is interesting that when the delegates at the Constitutional Convention in Philadelphia had completed their work (writing the Constitution instead of revising the Articles of Confederation,) they sent their work, (The Constitution) to Congress.

2.I also think it was crazy that under the Constitution 9 out of 13 states had to agree with a law to pass and 9 out of 13 states had to agree to make the Constitution accepted.

3.Those 9 out of 13 states that had to approve to pass a law, well when they were needed to adopt the Constitution it took them 10 months to get that number.Jake l. #12 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😀 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😉 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 😀 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂 🙂

Identity crisis

I think the American’s identity crisis was hard for them because they had just broken free from Britain and all of the sudden they were their own country. They were “slaves” to Britain one moment and the next they were free. some of them wanted to become a new country and others  just wanted to be free and live their own lives for a little bit. The most important thing in the American revolutionary war

I think the most important thing in the revolutionary war was the Battle of Yorktown.  I think this because it was one of the major battles that took place.  I also think this because  it shows the friendship between America and France early on. I also think this was important, because it’s the war in which the British surrendered to America.  The war was amazing and I am glad that America won.

George Washingtons letter to congress:

This Letter explains to me that George Washington cared about his troops and their cause. It also helps me understand that the winter of 1777 was very harsh and cold. In the letter George Washington explains to congress that almost half of troops were sick or dead. This statement helps me realize that they didn’t have very good medicine and that their doctors could have been sick or dead too. This tells me the urgency of George Washington’s  need of supplies and money. JAKE L. #12

Out of all the acts we have studied in our time looking at the road to the Revolution, which do you consider to be the harshest and why?

I think the Townsend act was the harshest. I think this because this act was a bunch of different acts combined. I also think this because the Townsend act cut of supplies to the colonies until they payed for the tea that they threw into the harbor. The way they did this was that they blockaded the Boston harbor with their warships. In conclusion, I think this was the harshest act. The British should repent for what they have done!
