MARKET DAY Reflection!

Write about ONE thing you learned from COLLABORATION at Market Day.

We were very positive but we were not perfect.

Write about ONE thing you learned from CRITICAL THINKING at Market Day.

We had a lot of problems with the Snow Cones because we kept running out.

Write about ONE thing you learned from CREATIVITY at Market Day.

We could have put more work in the food like decorate the caramel corn bag and shaped the brownies.

Write about ONE thing you learned from COMMUNICATION at Market Day.

The Brownies didn’t sell very well and we kept running out of Snow Cones but we communicated really well with our customers.

What was the BEST thing about Market Day?

When we sold out and when a bunch of people came over and begged for Snow Cones in a bag or they wanted to put Snow Cone Syrup on their Pop Slushie and payed extra.

What is ONE thing you’d change if you had to do it again?

We would change the shapes of Brownies and decorate the bags of Caramel Corn

What is the MOST IMPORTANT thing you learned from Market Day? How will this impact your future learning?

I learned that teamwork is better than being by yourself and you work in groups a lot in high school, middle school, and even when we are adults working at a store or a restaurant!

MARKET DAY Prediction!

What are you most excited about for Market Day?

I’m most excited to work as a group and i’m really excited to see what our first customer would say at our booth!

What are the strengths of your group? How will this help today?

I think our strengths in our group is working together and it will help today because we would be a good influence on the third graders for next year and it will make people to think we know what we are doing!

What are you most nervous about for Market Day? Why are you nervous about it?

I’m most nervous that people won’t like are treats or they don’t like the idea of what we are doing and the reason why i’m nervous because then we won’t make that much money because they won’t tell there friend how good our booth is.

Do you think you will sell all of you product? Why or why not?

I think we will because everyone in our class brought a lot of money and one of my friends was joking around and saying that she was going to buy all of the caramel corn and then it became two bags and it was just really funny.

What will you do if your group isn’t selling anything?

Well first we would probably make a deal like buy two get one free or change the price to seventy – five cents because if you sell something and don’t make any money it’s better to get money out of a lower price.

How will you remain positive if things don’t go as planned?

I would think about the bright side if we were still making money everything would be fine.

What will you do if your group run out right away? How would you remain humble?

Well we do have back – up the dance floor and the snow cones but if we get to much money then we would make the dance floor free and no snow cones.

What is your overall prediction of the day?

I’m guessing that we would be sold out and we would have at least made one – hundred dollars.

Reflection on Market Day

List 3 highlights of the pitch

  • When they all really loved our product and treats.

  • When we got the offer we wanted and Mr. Feenstra congratulated us.

  • When we got two offers and took Mr. Feenstra’s.

List 3 possible improvements

  • We should have mentioned the dance floor and that we needed money for that too.

  • I should’ve put down more money for caramel corn.

  • We should’ve put the money for each item on the presentation.

How would you better prepare if you had to do it again?

  • We would’ve done it exactly the same as we did but added the improvements on the last question.

What advice would you give next year’s 4th grade students?

  • You need to remember to add everything you want them to know.

  • Ask for at least $15.

  • Where your church clothes or match colors.

  • Add something catchy that whenever they hear it they will think of your group.

  • Don’t act nervous and shy or scared or they will think of the wrong picture and they will think you are really shy and then they would think you advertisement would go horrible and won’t give you enough money.
