The sunglasses reminds me of our family trip to Seattle Washington ,California,Portland. We saw mountains, valley’s and places that I never knew where their. I never knew  that mountains were so pretty and I never knew that climbing a rock would be so fun. When we were on our way down it felt like forever because we kept having to turn and then turn again to get down and it was the same way on our way up. We took the back way on our way down and when you were going up if you looked down it felt like you would fall because you were bending forward to look down. The view from the top of the mountain is like a postcard because it looks so fake but it’s really not from a postcard because it’s really real.

The Ladder reminds me of when my dad, uncle, aunt, cousins and I hiked up Smith rock. You would never think that when you look at Smith rock from the bottom that it would only take 2 hours to hike up and 1 hour down but it’s true. We started at the bottom and I was doing pretty good until we got about half way. Then all of  a sudden I felt a piercing pain in my side from bending over every 2 minutes from hiking. Everyone says it’s ok because we are almost there but it felt like forever before we got to the top. But it was worth hiking because it was the most beautiful view ever!  The view from the top was like a desert with dead tries and a little river, you know the kind you might see in a kids book only this picture was real.

The Globe remind me of flying to Portland with my family. We drove to chicago July 3lst and when we got there we stayed in a hotel for the night. The next morning we all woke us to the piercing sound of an alarm clock although it was also my grandma waking us up because she didn’t wanna be late for the plane. We got to the airport about an 1 early and we ate their and we waited. When it was finally out time to get on my grandma made it on first and then my cousin and I went and sat with her. We were in the plane for 4 hours and when we finally made the view was beautiful. When we hit the ground it felt like a big bump in the road because we went up a little in our seats. But we were finally their. The view was like a picture in a book only this picture book view was real.

Matthew 7:24-25

Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like the wise man who built his house on the rock. Then the rain came down. The streams rose. The winds blew and beat against that house. Yet it did not fall because it had it’s foundation on the rock.

When we went to camp with the 8th grade teachers at the end of  7th grade we talked about what we wanted our theme verse to be. We all went into groups and we talked about it and at the end we all voted and  Matthew 7:24-25 is what everyone chose.  (Our theme this year, “Built on the Rock”, means a lot to me as both an 8th grader at ZCS and as a Christian in the world.)

To me being an 8th grader means you’re looked up to, people watch what you do and they wanna do the same. It also   means that you can be a small group leader. In 6 and 7th grade I would always look up to the small group leaders and the 8th graders.  I would always with that i could become a small group leader and now here I am! I’m a small group leader.  Being an 8th grader means to me that you should be good in class and not kid around. I feel pressured because everyone wants you to be good at everything.

To me being a christian means you go to church, you pray, you love God and you don’t say bad words or use his name in vain.  When you have a problem pray to God and ask him to forgive you or to help you through your problem. God is my best friend and i know i can trust him with anything. I accepted Christ on January 1 2014 and it was the best decision of my life! Being a christian to me means that people follow christ.

(Our theme this year, “Built on the Rock”, means a lot to me as both an 8th grader at ZCS and as a Christian in the world.) I think this is a great verse for our school. It teaches us that you can build your house on the rock because the rock is God.

New Addition

I like how the class room doors can open up so you can have a bigger room because then we can have all the 8th graders together and not be crammed. I like the classrooms cause you can see through them.
