Multi step equation

October22

So a multi step equation starts with a problem like 3n+8=29 witch is the problem I am going to do. First since the 8 is the only number on that side you are going to do the opposite of the + witched – so you would do 8 – 8  witch would cancel echother out nd then do 29 – 8 witch would be 21. After you do that your equation would be 3n=21. Then you do the opisite of x because 3n mean 3 x n. So you wold do 3n/3 witch would cancel echother out. And then you would do 21/3 witch is 7 so the answer  is n = 7.

function

secretory vesicles

yellow skittles

hormones, travel to surface and release.

microtubules/ centrosome

sprinkles

where microtubules are produced.

Rough endoplasmic reticulum

smarties crushed

covered in electron micros due to reticulum. collect it for transferring around cell.

cell wall

licorice

rigid, protective wall around cell. provides shape. the pressure of cell wall helps create vegetables.

Cell membrane

also licorice

protective barrier to control water flow. it is made up of proteins.

vacuole

Frosting pile

help digestion. helps release of waste. small. store nutrients and waste. collects water.

lysosome

skittle

is vacuole and also digestion

chloroplast

sweedish fish

absorbs energy from the sunlight.

smooth endoplasmic reticulum

crushed reeses

takes out toxins and is called ER. (outer membrane)

nucleus

York

responsible for providing unique characteristics making it different from other plants.

peroxisomes

tic-tacs

converts fatty acids to sugar.

Africa Entry project

April28

We are starting a unit on Africa and we did an activity that we just wrote down words that wold describe Africa. Most of the words were people, poor desert, Sahara Desert, and dry. We found out that yes there are people, deserts, and some parts are dry but Africa isn’t that poor. Then we thought about what Africans look like and we took a test to see if we can tell if the are born in Africa or not. On Friday we took a card and if  it was back we a had to stand up if we had a heart card we had to stand up and so on.We were all surprised to see how many people had internet access and cellphone and a sewer system. And we have all that.

Camp reflection day

March18

We  wrote on card about camp  and reflected on who am I? who are we? and who is he? Her is what  I said. . . . .

Who am I? I am a child of God he made me special. Everyone is different.

Who are we?We are a community. When we are faced with trouble don’t try to do it yourself talk to others. Pray yourself for other people and they will pray for you.

Who is he? God  is our creator our Lord.To me God is a creator and sometimes you might think He isn’t there because something goes wrong but He is alway there and one step ahead of us.He knows what is happening and what will happen.

Density Lab

March12

We have been learning about density. We are investigating why Diet coke floats and Mtn. Dew doesn’t. We figured out that the density in the can makes it float and sink. The more dense the object is the more likely will sink the less dense it is the more likely it will float.
