Stephen’s Stoning Article

In the book of Acts it said that they were doing pretty good, life was good, the number of disciples were increasing by a lot and the widows past out food to the people that really needed it.  They needed another disciple to help guide the peoples heart in the right direction. Through a lot of thinking they thought of a young man named Stephen, Stephen is a young man with a “heart of gold”, he was a believer and follower of Jesus Christ and you could clearly see it through his actions towards people and God. He was perfect so they all voted so that it would be fair. But without a question Stephen Won!!!!! He was chosen from the village to be the disciple of God and to teach others in the village about God, he knew so much about how God loves him and others. There was a man who came that declared they were Christians and Stephen said no you don’t know the first thing about God and they were very mad at Stephen. So Stephen of course knew that he was going to die but he wanted to accomplish one more thing before he died and that was to make sure that the whole village knew about the great promise that God gave to them. Stephen talked about the great promises that God gave to others. The whole village was happy to know that God had a promise for them and they would find that out sooner or later. But sadly Stephen was stoned that day. He died loving Jesus and speaking about Jesus’s love to others. I think that we should all take that chance of dying for speaking of the good news that Jesus had said Stephen is a good example that we should think about that their are people today being killed for their faith and their testimony.
